Seeing as the show is getting a reboot

Let’s discuss and reminisce about previous seasons and what we want from the reboot

Also the definitive ranking of seasons

5 > 7 > 4 > 6 > 3 > 2 > 1

I dont mind a reboot but it'll never be better than the SMG buffy

Um 2 is one of the best seasons

ig. evil angel and the scene where angel lures buffy away to attack the library and the buffy/angel final fight sre heartbreaking

Druscilla is iconic but it’s lack of an overarching storyline just drags the quality down too far from me, S1,2 & the first half of season 3 are almost scooby doo like in their monster of the week sort of take

some of the monster of the week episodes are amazing and others are so bad, like the episode where the beer is poisoned is a low point in the entire series

Oh smithy says the cast has not been announces yet so it might be lexi

Beer Bad is definitely one of the worst episodes of the show. :skull:

Best episode of the entire show is once more with feeling

Best run of episodes is the 1, 2, 3 PUNCH of Pangs, Something Blue and Hush in S4 a fookin set of screamers

It was pretty much a rehash of The Pack too, which was a TERRIBLE episode

And nasal Willow gets so annoying later seasons.

I hated the episode where the frat house was full of ghosts and buffy and riley have sex all episode, it was pure filler

Oh yeah it was stupid as ****

Urgh and superstar was abysmal

Tbh I think Buffy went down hill after the fourth season , I found myself preferring the early seasons and pre Dawn annoying little sister . Riley was a boring character aswell :sleep: .

I thought the fifth season was pretty decent, but 6 and 7 can go from really good to meh

I still watched them but I found the dynamics off and the episodes hit and miss .

Spike also never helped the show imo.

Great actor who played him imo, but the writing for his character I swear inspired the backward **** that a lot of us have seen with Negan from TWD.

I don't know what writers were were thinking with Spike, he was a great strong character. Then the chip in the brain storyline. Him getting a Buffy robot :bored: just got silly.

Then him & real Buffy hooking up was a mess ,and even worse when Anya tried hooking up with him to hurt Zander .
They sort of made him a pathetic character with no use in the end :facepalm: .

I agree with you on Spike, I liked him in season 2, but every other season afterwards I just remembered thinking "why aren't the heroes just killing this psycho without no redeeming qualities whatsoever" and then they obviously as you've already pointed out, started to give him really bad shipping (which tbf is quite common on TV) but it just was an exasperated issue for me with a very annoying character.

And Negan's from The Walking Dead, he comes in like a psycho and gets redeemed.

At least Riley was better than Angel :eyes:

S4 was when the show began to actually get some semblance of a storyline through the whole season

5 was amazing, the dawn thing was so cleverly done and Glory :flutter:

Angel was the original Jon Snow/Daryl Dixon, imo male characters with next to no personality but were bizarrely popular with the fans of their respective shows.

I thought that I was the only one that holds a negative opinion of Angel, and I probably still am the only person that holds a negative view on Daryl.:joker:

I do think that I liked the first 3 seasons the most for actually having Horror undertones in a Vampire Show, because that was something that was particularly lost in the last 2 or 3 seasons imo.

I didn't mind Angel ,but they did mess about with his character.

Dawn was annoying , yes I got into the storyline but in the end it just felt forced . They should of ended it after Buffy sacrifices herself.

Bringing her back to life was an anti climax.

With exception to the musical episode ,that was actually good.
