Are you now paranoid about coughing/sneezing in public?

I was in the PO and was thinking about sneezing but stifled it as i felt a little paranoid.

Have you felt this?

i'm just paranoid about a tickle in my throat or a stray sneeze ... wherever i am. The trusty thermometer has come to the rescue on several occasions

Crimson Dynamo 16-03-2020 05:39 PM

yes the TL has her thermo out

Jessica. 16-03-2020 05:40 PM

Nobody with any respect for other humans is going out in public, just straight to and from work/buying essentials.

smudgie 16-03-2020 05:42 PM

No, as I don’t go out in public.
ALL tests, appointments at hospital, doctors and hospice are cancelled, all updates by telephone for the foreseeable.
I must be one of the few that are looking forward to total isolation

Yes. I have given up my social activities. The only thing I am going out for is food shopping. Gonna be climbing the walls soon

Jordan. 16-03-2020 05:46 PM

Yes I sneezed at work today and could feel the burning judgement :worry:

Just think of all that glorious peace smudgie and just chilling about all day,we need to look on the bright side and enjoy the break and do those things we never have time for.:wavey: you take care.

GoldHeart 16-03-2020 05:50 PM

But you can't hold in a cough or sneeze , aslong as you cover your face it isn't so bad .

Bit is it going to get to the stage where people are too scared to go on the bus, to supermarket etc  .

Strictly Jake 16-03-2020 06:03 PM

Crimson Dynamo 16-03-2020 06:06 PM

Always a positive.
Plus, if the schools shut down my daughter is coming up to share the isolation with me.

user104658 16-03-2020 07:44 PM

I cleared my throat in the co-op and suddenly felt very self-aware. No one was around though.

Josy 16-03-2020 08:05 PM

Nope

Kizzy 16-03-2020 08:10 PM

I haven't as yet thankfully! I have however bawled a couple of people out for coughing and sneezing around me without putting their hand over their mouth! Dirty basts ...

Work has a new policy whereby if you think someone is ill and putting you and others at risk, you can ask for them to be removed from site and they have to self isolate for 7 days.

montblanc 16-03-2020 08:18 PM

yes :skull:

Two nights ago, my daughter stood behind me to ask a question while I was eating, and sneezed a big misty spray all over my face, arm and food! So if she gets it the world is doomed tbh.

caprimint 16-03-2020 09:51 PM

I was in Subway earlier and this boy sneezed and his mom looked at me and she was like "don't worry, he hasn't got the virus" :joker:

Everyone is a bit paranoid at the moment

yeah, i was in a shop earlier and someone kept coughing and they said "don't worry it's my asthma" but people still looked worried :joker:

JerseyWins 16-03-2020 10:06 PM

Nah I been sneezing a lot lately actually but not paranoid about others suspecting I have the coronavirus. :joker: I've noticed other co-workers in particular have been sneezing too and none of us question it or anything.

Sneezing happens even if you're not even sick. I might feel a bit more paranoid about coughing if I had a bad cough or something tho.

Well my family does online shopping, and lets just say that the Asda worker looked worried when I coughed was an understatement.:joker:

Kids are one of worst for spreading germs & viruses, yet the schools were still open  :conf:.

The government is locking the stable after the horse has already run out , no consideration for businesses either on the insurance.

Went to Lidl today and the elderly man in the queue behind me coughed, then he felt he had to explain it was a cough he had all the time as some woman gave him a dirty look, he had 6 cartons of long life milk, and then we noticed they had a note up saying only 4 items so I bought two for him, the cashier didn't look too impressed :hehe:
