It would be cool if they showed us more of already established seasons with these eps too somehow idk

so they're gonna waste good series ideas on 1 hour specials instead..

I like the idea personally, especially if its the same ensemble in multiple episodes.

Tbf, he's only once or twice been able to sustain a story for a full season.

People complain that series drag on or loose focus after x eps, one cohesive story should be good

And if it’s very popular it could become a season idea at a later point

This actually sounds really good, a few of the series have been a bit of a trudge so unconnected stories sound great.

So it will be a bit like tales from the crypt etc? Sounds good. Will it air here on fox again and will Netflix finally get 1984?

I think Netflix will get 1984 when Double Feature starts and yeah that’s the format!

I actually think a middle ground would be best… like mini-anthologies if 3 to 4 episode long stories. An hour is a bit short for a full horror story BUT the full season arcs are always over-stuffed and come off the rails at the half way point.

Who is scripting them? The usual AHS lot? Or since they're one-shots do we have some new blood?

No idea, but looks like we’re going back to the Murder House (again)

A new horror anthology and the first TWO eps are in a location we all know

So I'm guessing she'll be one of the ghosts in the 2nd ep.

Unless they get Jessica Lange back it’s going to be very odd, she was such a big part of the show and Constance has such a huge connection to the house, it wouldn’t make any sense for her not to feature esp as it revolves around Tate essentially

I don’t think we’ll see him out of the suit, it’ll just revolved around the rubber man aspect

I think I’m more excited for this than Double Feature, I like the idea of expanding on the lore of the seasons without dragging out for an unreasonably long time

I watched part of an episode a coupl3 of years a go now with a guy I met in a club and ended up staying at his house.

It was bonkers. Can’t say I’ve watched anymore since. :joker:

No. Each episode is a completely new setting and new story IIRC.

One or two of them will be set within already established AHS settings, of course because Ryan Murphy doesn't seem to know when to stop.

That was my understanding anyway.

Yeah the first two episodes are set in the Murder House as a two parter

The rest of the season seems to expand on already existing AHS Lore (so probably other Covens/Supremes, The Piggy Man, etc etc)
