Thoughts on Jason

Almost halfway through BB5 on first watch

I find Jasons behaviour towards Vanessa pretty creepy. He keeps grabbing her and trying to throw her on to a bed. He keeps making her kiss him even though she doesnt want to. He masturbated in a bed near her and told her to keep making noises so he could finish. He wrestled her whilst in a towel with a full on boner and told her to look. A couple of episodes ago he said to her he wanted to pretend she was a 16 year old girl, then quickly changed it to 17 as thats legal age, all because she had pigtails he wanted to imagine her in school uniform to which vanessa said was disgusting, but too much in a jokey way for him to realise how wrong his comment was

Vanessa keeps laughing along with it but I do think she is a bit awkward about it

What are peoples thought towards him

A few years back a woman had filed a rape claim against him but he was innocent

Epic. 10-06-2020 03:46 PM

The forum consensus on him I feel used to be way too negative but I'm glad to see it's become more positive in recent time . Actually thought he was a great housemate, who held up even better on rewatch. Sure he's surly, moody, inconsiderate and vain, but he embraced those qualities within the environment he was couped up in and had a lot of comedy whether when he was being a miserable wit or when he was trying to fit in with a group that didn't really care for him/he didn't really care for them. He was hilarious. As well as this, the body dysmorphia problems he had and his background of being adopted and the youngest of several brothers as well made me sympathise with him even though he was just as much a villain as Victor. With how he develops to reaching the sullen nature he had, he winds up being one of the most fleshed out of the cast (in more ways than one ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) ).

The fact as well he lasted the entire ten weeks even though most of the housemates didn't really like him and he barely avoided being nominated and/or evicted most of his time there, no housemate I can think of was as much of a public cockroach as he was, it's a pretty enjoyable side-piece of that series .

On a side note jason said he was bisexual to dan in the first few days was he joking about this? He seemes to crave the attention from Dan

Also Michelle and Emma both said they were bi. But I didnt believe that either. Was it fashionable back then or something?

Babayaro. 10-06-2020 07:24 PM

Great housemate :clap1:

He plays the role of the grumpy older (I know he's only 30, but still) male brilliantly. Also, he's unintentionally hilarious and his gameplay/strategy talk with Victor throughout the series is a joy to watch.

He's probably my favourite Scottish housemate along with Mikey. :worship:

Babayaro. 10-06-2020 07:26 PM

Touching on what Epic said, I have NO idea how he managed to avoid being nominated most of the weeks lmao

Tony Montana 10-06-2020 07:32 PM

Loved him! A great and underrated housemate who contributed a lot to BB5.

I still pmsl at his comeback to Marco.

Marco: Exactly I might decide to clean up.
Jason: I might decide to knock the **** out of you as well. :joker:

I think he said on the show or I read somewhere that he lied about being bisexual as he thought that would increase his chance of being accepted. (that obviously worked :joker:)

Week 1 - Kitten ejection
Week 2 - Fake eviction
Week 3 - only 2 noms (still in his 'Fun Time Frankeh' stage)
Week 4 - previous delayed eviction from fight night
Week 5 - one vote away from being nominated
Week 6 - one vote away from being nominated
Week 7 - one task fail away from being nominated (and evicted against Michelle)
Week 8 - favourite to be evicted until Victor blew up
Week 9 - favourite to be evicted until Michelle (kept) blowing up

.

Daniel. 10-06-2020 07:45 PM

He's ok but a bit dull

Babayaro. 10-06-2020 07:47 PM

fun time franky :skull::joker:

Daniel. 10-06-2020 07:47 PM

Best remembered for Nadia punching him

Shaun 10-06-2020 07:56 PM

I love how the OP just basically describes him as a sex pest only for TiBB to reply "underrated imo! :clap1:"

Surely as a fan of Nadia, you've got to admit that without Jason, she wouldn't have had an opponent and someone to make her as good a housemate as she was

Also, Jason ended her on numerous occassions!

No it’s only entertaining when she screams in his face

Beso 10-06-2020 08:48 PM

His late night preening was fascinating viewing.

Mitchell 10-06-2020 08:50 PM

Wasn’t as good after too many broken hearts

Says the person who finds Jason 'interesting'

I dunno why anyway I've seen you say you like Nadia

Babayaro. 10-06-2020 09:57 PM

I like them both!

Marsh. 10-06-2020 10:42 PM

A deeply sexual man.

I like BB 22-06-2020 11:23 PM

Anyone ever notice how he would occasionally look down at his pecs or biceps, checking them out?

Legrand 03-05-2021 06:37 PM

I didn't like him at all at first but something started to click around week five for me, and his dourness started becoming an absolute howl. By the time his already-big social pariah status increased during the last few weeks, I was absolutely sold and kept loving him more and more.

What a great final two in terms of both story and characters!

Zizu 03-05-2021 09:33 PM

He was just a flat track bully as I recall with no redeeming features or traits

It was so funny how he actually thought being so grumpy and nasty was actually going to do him favours.

How you can go on a show like Big Brother and be so negative, boring, and downright miserable day after day, knowing that people are watching it, and actually think that's a good idea, is beyond me.

Well he finished runner up, so being grumpy got him that far.

Jason was the best male housemate of that series.

Alf 24-03-2022 10:29 AM

I love schooling people on the channel 4 series's of Big Brother.

user104658 24-03-2022 11:43 AM

I ****ing loved BB5, where do people watch these things :flutter:. I found a dodgy site a while back that CLAIMED to have all of the series but none of the links worked :nono:.

user104658 24-03-2022 11:45 AM

My claim to fame (?) is still that I saw "fight night" when it streamed live (they used to show the live stream through the night sometimes) - it went on for AGES and way, way past the point where the feed should clearly have been cut. They barely showed any of it in the main show, and even extended footage of it that came out via various means was barely a fraction of the chaos. It went on for like a full 90 minutes. MULTIPLE housemates could easily have been arrested for assault.

...some of the best TV I've ever seen...

BB5 fight night is on utube - probably just from the main show.

The claimed to show "highlights" from it but they cut out all the best stuff... Emma, Jason, Victor, Nadia and Marco should ALL have been removed and probably taken to the nearest cells :joker:. I'm pretty sure a couple of them were fighting the security as well.

I've ended up watching the S7 opening episode instead. It's bloody chaos as well .

Pete not explaining that he has Tourettes straight away and everyone side-eyeing him with no idea what's going on. Iconic stuff.

The good old days of BB. I must give that Pete one a watch.

I wish somebody had taped it because Channel 4/Endemol are NEVER EVER gonna release that stuff.

If you watch the editing closely (of the main show I mean) it's so clear they removed tons of stuff.

It would be hilarious to actually see the dance Marco did that got insecure little Jason so offended he repeatedly threatened violence on someone who was absolutely no physical threat to him.

I wonder if Channel 4/Endemol still have all of the unedited footage. Didn't they have to hand it over to the police?

Marco's dancing was aired on the main show... it's when he's singing "I found a place where we can boogie" in Jason's face.

I heard that Russell Brand says in his autobiography that he had a copy of the tapes before the police arrived and confiscated them, asking if he'd watched them, and if so to never discuss the extent of what was on them.

Here is some of the live feed from that night but it cuts to the garden a lot. It doesn't include the fight in the bathroom which was apparently when punches were thrown.

Something I'm confused about is the following footage. It shows Emma spitting in Victor's face, however they did not show this on the live feed as it cuts to the garden at that moment, and they definitely didn't show it on the main show. So where did this footage come from?

Thank you for this reply and sorry for the late response. I really appreciate those links you found.

Regarding the mysterious footage of Emma possibly spitting in Victor's face, could it maybe have come from an internet stream? Were they still doing that at that point?

He isn't naturally grumpy and nasty.

Living with Marco sabass would do that to any man.
