Lana Del Rey - Chemtrails Over the Country Club - OUT NOW
Thought I'd start a new thread for the whole "new era" of COtCC and seperate from NFR.
First song "Let Me Love You Like a Woman" is OUT NOW :cheer2: |
(& yes that is the actual, official single artwork apparently... Seriously).
God I love it. It sounds like it should be on NFR - which is a brilliant thing and a great sign for this next era imo. :clap2:
...ughhhh, the arrival......
We could get lost in the purple rain Talk about the good old days We could get high on some pink champagne Baby, let me count the waves... |
I'm glad that musically she's sticking with the Norman Rockwell vibe as it's my favourite. Although the production on this is giving me demo vibes as it's quite basic and the cover art is a choice :skull:
I bought her poetry book Violet Bent Backwards Over The Grass and it's really pretty :flutter: |
It’s... ok
But since ultraviolence she’s literally had 0 artistic growth :/ you know exactly what you’re getting with her |

It's alright. Not grabbing me though.
Is lana pregnant?
It's good and it sounds like a message to her fans and haters. I'm feeling the whole vibe of the song and the video which is essentially Lana in the end.
Though I wish it was more grabbing like some of her previous work. So far it's not stuck in my head like it usually is, but it's a good song. |
Also what's a chemtrail?

Album has been delayed until March, she’s going to be releasing a cover album at Christmas to make up for it

*Cover album of classic American standards.
She’s also done a cover of You’ll Never Walk Alone for a Liverpool FC documentary (which will probably be on the covers album seeing as it’s Rogers & Hammerstein):
Her covers tend to not be the best outside of that one Sublime one
And she said what she said!

I have a feeling she’s pregnant...
It looks very good already, let's see on January 11th!
I feel like it's a good thing she delayed it and waited after NFR too. |

Did they really leave an iphone wrapped in headphones in the shot?
Yep. I guess it's intentional surely? Intentional how, I don't know. The MV for the title track is dropping tomorrow so maybe we'll get some context perhaps? :joker:
I prefer the back cover but hey, I'm just happy we're getting new Lana. |
...the lady with the headband still has her mask on and hanging down as well...
...Jake, it took me ages to find that iPhone.....
same :skull: hope this isn't a great album bc I really don't want that artwork in my vinyl collection :worry: i'll settle for "good"
This song is lovely :flutter:

Love the song and the mv
I do like Let Me Love You Like A Woman but Chemtrails Over The Country Club should have been the lead.
The MV is as usual very pleasing and spot on, though the wolf moment was...a choice.
As far as the song goes, it will take me some plays to figure it out completely. I'm not taken into another atmosphere when listening to it like previous songs or whenever a mv is released. From what we have seen so far since the release of Let Me Love You Like a Woman, I can tell NFR is superior. But let's wait for the album. |
