I would never spend that much on a burger.
I'm happy going to Burger king.

Amy Jade 25-11-2020 09:35 AM

The economy in the state it's in with more and more forced to go to food banks and they launch an £80 burger.

Choke on it.

UserSince2005 25-11-2020 09:39 AM

If you cant afford it thats your problem. Us who work hard and have money can spend it how we want.

Do you have to queue for 14 hours for that one though?

Cherie 25-11-2020 09:58 AM

Of course they will be an appetite for this (geddit it ), same as paying 800.00 for phones that are obselete the following year

People will be posting this on insta from the off

Dogeatdog 25-11-2020 12:52 PM

I do like watching Gordon Ramsay’s cooking videos on YouTube but I get hooked on them like I’ll watch one but I end up still watching more of them hours later :skull:.

I bet the burger tastes incredible and if I had money to just throw away I’d defo give it a try. Some of the other stuff does sound a little pretentious though ‘Truffle Parmesan fries’ ‘ sweet potato fries w/ vanilla powdered sugar & honey jalapeño mayo?’ They just sound like odd combinations?

That's a bit of a bad stereotype on what is clearly an expensive Burger to most working people in the country.

Ammi 25-11-2020 01:02 PM

...I can’t imagine a pic less likely to make me feel as though I’d want to eat meat....it doesn’t really entice at all ...

Denver 25-11-2020 01:02 PM

Where are you eating?

Daniel-X 25-11-2020 02:02 PM

Lmao I had a Wagyu burger at Dash in Liverpool (which a a fine dining restaurant) and that was only £24 (with truffle Parmesan fries and salad).

It’s ridiculous and people defending it are just trying to seem above everyone else.

bots 25-11-2020 02:09 PM

it's simple economics, they are charging what people are prepared to pay. I bet it doesnt have any empty seats

Yea his restaurants are not really targeted for people leaving on a tight budget like weatherspoons is

Cherie 25-11-2020 02:46 PM

I’ve eaten here twice and it was nice but nothing amazing

https://www.gordonramsayrestaurants....treet-kitchen/

There is a premium added on for his name and location, this is close to St Pauls

There's nothing to defend

If people don't want it, they won't buy it, and the people who make it will lose money. It's fine.
