What annoys you about your own home?

Can be anything
My dog
How small it is.

Niamh. 11-12-2020 09:12 AM

My drive way, it fits two cars but one behind the other so if the back car wants to move the person in front has to move as well

smudgie 11-12-2020 09:28 AM

The fact that the renovations have come to a halt.
Covid:fist:
But I love the parts that are done.

I have this problem as well but our driveway has 4 cars.

I dont like how small the kitchen is. Also Kids. They turn a house into a nusery and scuff all the walls and stuff!

UserSince2005 11-12-2020 02:44 PM

when the concierge doesn't open the front gate fast enough for me to just drive in, i always beep at the top of the corner so he has enough time to get his arse in gear.

I've read this at least 10 times, and I still can't make sense of it.

One car blocks the other when 2 cars are parked, so if my car is parked at the back and I want to go somewhere then Gav would have to come out and move his car so i can get out. I have drawn you a wonderful diagram. (also taking the wall down wouldn't help because the drive way slopes up so the back space isn't level with the road :hee:

But the car that's first in the line is always in front, and the car at the back is always at the back, therefore, the car at the back wanting to get out, has no impact at the car at the front.

We live at the end of a terrace and the house is pretty old, so mould is a problem.

Plus we don't have a shower  I do love baths but it's a lot of time wasted.

Could you not just get a shower that attaches to the bath taps?

My room hasn’t been decorated for years so mainly my room. It just feels childish for my age. It’s finally getting decorated next year though.

That's so annoying right? That would be the thing I would change about my home too
And it's not like it's "first in last out", it's usually "first in first out" meaning the other car has to move.

It's really annoying, there isn't a very practical solution to it at the moment though without taking a chunk out of the garden which I don't want to do either

My husband told me the other day "We need to find a way to put one car on top of the other so we don't deal with this issue anymore".
He meant one of those car stacker systems, but I honestly don't want to look at rates yet :joker:
But keep your garden, it's always better to have some piece of nature. Cars can be dealt with!

Why don’t you buy an SUV so you take up all the space on the driveway?

Mine is an SUV, how does that help though we need 2 cars [emoji38]

Well if your SUV took up all the space on the driveway it would force your husband to park elsewhere but I’m getting the sense now that it is not a viable solution

Maybe Cherie’s idea of getting a scooter or a motorbike would be best

[emoji38] I don't think he'd be too happy about that. There's no where else near to park

As I typed this my sister literally asked me to move my car so she could get out the driveway

A car stacker? I've never heard of those, sounds dangerous [emoji38]

He meant this. And in hindsight I don't even know what came over me to tell him that it might be a possibility and I will give it a thought. :joker:
This is just never going to happen. I suppose I was tired and not 100% listening

But wouldn't you still have the same problem anyway, if the car on top wanted to leave wouldn't the one below need to move?

Denver 11-12-2020 09:36 PM

If someone invites you over but don't make an effort to clean up like it doesnt need to be perfect but I don't fancy spending time in a house where you don't wash up or hoover your floors or give it a dust

Amy Jade 11-12-2020 10:08 PM

Not moaning because it's not my house but its a bungalow with a loft conversion, that's my bedroom but everything is downstairs so I have to be so quiet in the mornings I leave for work early.

My mums ensuite bathroom is way better than the main one too, she has a better shower
