Have you had the vaccine?

I made a thread a while ago asking if you will have the vaccine, so here's one asking if you have had it and also did you have any effects etc?

I had my first dose a month ago and felt fine bar a sore arm

Kate! 07-03-2021 10:56 AM

I've had my first jab. Went fine. No pain or soreness whatsoever. I was very tired for a few days however. Slept a lot.

Smithy 07-03-2021 10:57 AM

Yeah I have my second one in a few weeks

Dogeatdog 07-03-2021 10:58 AM

Haven’t had the vaccine yet.

Cherie 07-03-2021 11:03 AM

bots 07-03-2021 11:14 AM

yep, felt crap the day after then fine

the vaccine has been opened up to the over 50's now, so they are belting through it at a great rate

GoldHeart 07-03-2021 12:23 PM

Not yet no as I'm not in the "at risk " category, but obviously when it comes round to me then I will.

Josy 07-03-2021 02:18 PM

No I got my appointment letter a couple of weeks ago but knocked it back as none of the safety trials were carried out on pregnant women (explains all this on my letter and tells me its completely up to me) both my midwife and consultant were absolutely fine with my decision.

smudgie 07-03-2021 02:41 PM

Had one dose, waiting for my second shortly.
Absolutely no problems with it at all.
Not even a sore arm.
Hubby was the same.

Janet Jackson 07-03-2021 03:11 PM

I have friends a a local school, they all had AZ, it was mixed who had side affects and who didn't

bots 07-03-2021 04:12 PM

yeah, i know people who had pfizer and had side effects. It just depends on peoples individual biology. Also, more people are getting the AZ vaccine than any other so that will reflect in the numbers experiencing side effects

UserSince2005 07-03-2021 04:13 PM

I paid and got the both shots

It is and the uptake has been very high, not sure if you saw the clip from South Sudan on Sky last week, empty vaccination centres and vaccines that will expire in July as the take up is so low, they interviewed a wide age range and all were against taking it :bored:

it's all about trust. They clearly are worried for whatever reason ... maybe they don't trust the government etc

It's all very well having a world vaccination program, but no vaccine should be going to waste

felt sorry for the doctors interviewed, you could see how worried they were about the low uptake, if the vaccine is not used they wont get another batch either

user104658 24-05-2021 07:51 AM

2nd jab next Saturday, but I wish I was Pfizer not rubbish AZ :hmph:.
