Meghan, Duchess of Sussex saw red over blanket colour, claim palace aides
Victoria Ward 16 hrs ago

The Duchess of Sussex “went mental” at her personal assistant for ordering blankets that were the wrong shade of red,
it has been claimed.

Meghan, 39, is said to have had “unattainably high demands” causing untold
tensions with her Kensington Palace staff.

When she hosted a shooting party at Sandringham for Prince Harry’s friends,
shortly after their engagement, she allegedly told her PA, Melissa Touabti, to

order red, personally embroidered blankets for each of the guests.

A source told the Sunday Times: “When they arrived, they weren’t the right
shade of red for Meghan and she went mental at Melissa.”

Ms Toubati is said to have left “traumatised” by the Duchess’s alleged
behaviour and left the Royal Household six months after the Sussexes’
wedding, amid claims she had been reduced to tears.

The Duke’s first PA, who was working for him when Meghan arrived, is also
said to have left within months.

“Half of the staff threatened to quit,” one former aide told the newspaper,
while another claimed: “The entire household was on the verge of quitting...it
was drama, drama, drama with those two.”

Even the Sussexes’ engagement interview was said to have failed to meet
Meghan’s standards.

“She complained it hadn’t gone well, that Mishal [Husain] wasn’t empathetic
enough, wasn’t warm enough,” a source is reported to have said. The
Duchess declined to comment on the claims.

I think many of us have at one time worked for an aggressive abusive Boss so can empathise with the poor lady?

Funny that people jumped down Pritis neck when similar claims were made - yet when it’s Meghan it’s all lies

AnnieK 07-03-2021 11:57 AM

In fairness we don't know if this was just the last of a string of errors she has made or Meghan was being too critical. Its just more "he said, yeah but she said" rubbish.

It sounds like Meghan is fairly demanding but who knows whether it's anything worse than that.

That's the narrative we're meant to follow ,how she's a "demanding bully" despite non of us actually knowing her or seeing any of this.

The media are so pathetic that even her hair in a bun was an issue ,and got called "messy bun" , she got criticised for closing the car door , and even critiscied for wearing black nail varnish.

Kate asks for expensive candles for her wedding and it's ok,but when Meghan asks for air fresheners it's suddenly "out of order" :bored: .

It hurts people that Meghan & Harry didn't follow royal protocol, they wanted them both to be another Stretford couple like William & Kate .

You are critical of certain newspapers for criticising Markle in an over the top manner and then finish your post

While I think celeb demands are quite ridiculous at times (worst I read, cant remember who but they would as for M&Ms in their room, but only the blue and green ones or something, so someone had to sit sorting them before they arrived!), this is hardly anything new. I have no issue believing she may be this pampered spoilt princess that the press make her out to be. Its the sheer timing of this avalanche in resurfacing now thats quite suspect. And I simply do not believe anyone who thinks the timings of these coming back up is just a coincidence.

Yes. Extremely undignified for the Royals like I said in another thread... they're totally "outed" as just a bog standard bunch of celebs with bog standard celeb drama at this point. Nothing regal about any of it . The Windsdashians :joker:

There was a report on one of these royal programs saying how Kate feels she can't'let go ' at times, it's pretty obvious both Kate & William are happy to go along with everything because he's future king .

Why should Harry & Meghan do the same ,if anything it's time for traditions to change as it's boring .

Examples of such acts include providing a meal to a woman in need, calling a friend to check in, and helping a parent or neighbour to register for and get their Covid-19 vaccine.

Other examples of how people can help are listed on the website, in sections entitled family care, wellness, food and empowerment.

As I have said before...if these reports are true, it must be very difficult for these people to sit back and watch what they are doing...how Harry and particularly Meghan are playing the Victim card. Perhaps if Harry and Meghan had just kept quiet and got on with their lives...none of this would have re-surfaced. To do it now rather than after the interview was better timing.
Its been said that this complaint of Bullying was swept under the carpet at the time in order to protect Meghan....so all these claims she is making about not being protected and being silenced...it has no doubt prompted people to fight back.
There are always two sides to every story.

All Manchester towns have terraced housing  and all the women in Stetford are pretty robotic and perfectly turned out so GH wasn't far wrong

I agree....the sad thing is though if these allegations are correct, it should not have taken an Oprah interview and worries of bad press for the Royals for them to be properly investigated. No one should be deemed needing protection when other people's well being is at stake. These women are not the one's fighting back, its the Palace that have approached them NOW to pursue them when they disregarded the concerns at the time.
