PM Johnson told Sir James Dyson by text he would 'fix' tax issue
Blair said
on BBCnewsHD said on this it is also a Pandemic time. [Boris Johnson assured Sir James Dyson his employees would not have to pay extra tax if they came to the UK to make ventilators during the pandemic. Sir James, whose firm is now based in Singapore, wrote to the Treasury to ask for no change in tax status for staff. But in text messages sent in March 2020 - seen by the BBC - Sir James then went directly to the PM, with Mr Johnson replying: "I will fix it."] [The government said it did everything it could to get the right equipment. And Sir James said it was "absurd to suggest that the urgent correspondence was anything other than seeking compliance with rules" and that his company did not receive "any benefit from the project". Labour called the revelations "jaw-dropping", with shadow business minister Lucy Powell telling the BBC: "Frankly it stinks that a billionaire businessman can text the prime minister and get an immediate response and, apparently, an immediate change in policy."] https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-56819137 |

Dominic Cummings
has put out a Statement saying it was not him leaking the Dyson Call. https://ichef.bbci.co.uk/news/976/cp...m118174130.jpg https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-56863547 |
I had a feeling Cummings would start to expose the failings of this PM.
I didn't have to wait long. |
The chatty Rat, you got to love UK politics
|
So now rich companies need bribes to provide lifesaving equipment?

The gumption of BoJo though. If it was something like "we really need a huge amount of ventilators, get them to us by X Date and there's a big fat payday coming your way" would be ... Still stinking, but if it resulted in a load of ventilators becoming available, it might have been something where we could hold our nose and begrudgingly overlook it ... but blatantly saying in black and white that he'd fix tax "problems" ? Just one of many things that if it has come from anyone with an atom of integrity they'd have slunk off long ago once it came to light ... But not our BoJo. |
How do you people actually think deals get done
It’s not what you know but who you know. |

Oh look, more corruption that tory supporters will gladly ignore as they cling on to an image they have of Boris being a lovable scamp and not the deeply corrupt cancerous rot that he is.

Cummings is not the leaker of that it was revealed on JOB LBC this morning

Cummings is a ****, but a lot of what is being said echoes and corroborates accounts of other failings by Boris and this government. It echoes the fact that other ministers have been involved in similar happenings. To ignore it is to choose to be ignorant.
Unlike deeply gullible tory supporters, I don't ignore something just because I don't like the person saying it, or what they are saying. The leaks fall in line with other similar scandals from this government, to ignore it or attack people for paying such words heed is utter foolishness. |
No corruption here
|
i'm not ignoring it, i'm not a boris supporter, but i just don't care. I have a vaccine like millions of others in this country. That has saved actual lives

Yes some are saying the Vaccine is more important. |
We shouldn't tolerate corruption and incompetence and use the pandemic as an excuse for doing so. In fact, in times of crisis, we should be incredibly intolerant of such things, and we would, if we weren't such a spineless country.
