Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's popularity hits an all-time low
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's popularity hits an all-time low with Britons in
the woke of Oprah interview and 'woke word salad' statement on Afghanistan
https://observer.com/wp-content/uplo...resize=768,587 Positive opinion of the Duke of Sussex, 36, who lives in an £11 million mansion in Montecito, California, with his wife, has fallen by nine points, from 43 percent in April to 34 per cent now. The Duchess of Sussex, 40, has seen a steady decline in her popularity this year, with positive opinion at 30 per cent in March, falling to 29 per cent in April, and dropping a further three points to 26 per cent now. YouGov blames 'poor responses to their statements surrounding the COVID- 19 pandemic and the withdrawal from Afghanistan', for the drop. https://i.dailymail.co.uk/1s/2021/09...0944269171.jpg This pair cant buy a break:conf: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/a...low-Brits.html The thread question is can they be popular again or have they burned their boats? |

Considering his work for Invictus for the last however many years suggests its pretty sincere to me. I don't see the worst in him at all turns though....his work with veterans speaks for itself imo....well before this Megxit crap |

Harry looks dead behind the eyes. His bouyant personality is gone.

They are still very popular in the minds of the public as tibb proves every day :flutter:

I think there is no comeback with most of the British public, and many Americans are going off them from what I've heard and read anyway. |

As long as its all cleared up now and its just your opinion that its not sincere, the same as mine that his work.with veterans and invictus is sincere we are on the same page. I don't care about their popularity in other areas. |

Its sad to see |

in fact its the opposite which really is sad hence the thread :( |
If they really cared about popularity, they wouldn't have left. The data scroungers are wasting their time.

Tbh nobody knows how the country truly feels on anything based off a YouGov poll.
Don't forget this is the same survey that had May to beat Corbyn by a very wide margin, and that Ed Miliband would edge past David Cameron. |
And hang on the poll has the Queen as the most popular royal when she's trying to stop the FBI from interrogating her Son about potential Paedophilia?
If YouGov is an accurate reflection of how the country feels then wow! |

It's really sad and shocking :( |

Plus I put no faith in any polls, I can't think of where they've been consistently right on anything in recent times. From Brexit to elections as you were pointing out as to elections. As to polls on popular Royals. Honestly who should really care. Probably the only thing that should matter is do the respondents to said polling on Royalty is how many still support the Royal family. It would be interesting to see where that figure has gone from its highs of the past. However, I take all polls with a pinch of salt now. Have since the 2010 election. I agree with you too. It's very telling the protective ring that's been put around Prince Andrew. Unbelievable. |

"We're sick of them!!!"
"Oh, we've not had much to write about them recently, let's write about polls!!!" |

I would imagine Charles' popularity will take a nose dive too after the recent allegations against him and his staff. The Royal family are not infallible....they are not above criticism...whether working royals or not.
The fact that a father with a new baby is criticised as being "dead behind the eyes" is funny. Most new parents look like zombies for the first 6 months or so.....Prince Williams certainly did after the birth of his children |

I know that Andrew hasn't agreed to be interviewd by them, but that's it. |
Sorry, who?
|

No they are not….unless they are called Harry or Meghan… |
Personally I do think they could regain popularity…. They need to build bridges with their families and stop playing the ‘victim’ card. They need to stop preaching podcasts from their Mansion to relate more with the people they want to help..without sounding so ****ing patronising…
However they should have done this from the outset….anything now might just be seen as ‘tacticle’… |
Quote:
Does that sound like someone that's being encouraged to come forward? |

We also don't know what she has said to him personally about allowing himself to be interviewed by the FBI. We have to remember he's a 61 yr old man, he alone is responsible for his actions. |

Meghan and Harry’s 'world conquering' plans torn apart -‘Not got what they wanted!’
MEGHAN MARKLE and Prince Harry have so far had a "disastrous" 2021 and "even Sherlock Holmes would find it tough to unearth a major win for the royal defectors", an expert has claimed. By LUKE HAWKER 6th Sept 2021 The Duke and Duchess of Sussex quit the Royal Family 18 months ago and have since launched themselves into a number of ambitious projects, including with some of the world’s leading streaming platforms. Royal commentator Daniela Elser claimed this year had been set up to be "12 months of world conquering" for Meghan and Harry, but has described the past nine months as a “bust for the now California-based duo”....... https://www.express.co.uk/news/royal...h-royal-family Meghan and Harry’s own actions have made them unpopular, that is the unvarnished truth. |

Harry and Meghan's infamous Oprah interview is met with BOOS and JEERS from the star-studded audience at National TV Awards when clip is played during 'TV Moments' montage Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were booed when a clip of their Oprah Winfrey interview was aired at last night's National Television Awards. After Sir Trevor McDonald introduced the collection of the year's most iconic TV moments, a montage aired with scenes from the Royals' infamous interview. While the booing did not appear on the ITV live telecast, attendees revealed to MailOnline that the audience 'loudly' jeered and booed once the Duke and Duchess appeared.... The event at London's O2 arena is a highlight of the showbiz calendar that is attended by some of Britain's biggest stars - suggesting that the Sussexes' reputation has soured even among the celebrity elite…… The Sussexes' bombshell two and a half hour sit-down interview with Oprah in March was watched by over 17million people around the globe…. The interview immediately generated a backlash after fact checkers revealed a string of inaccuracies, while Oprah also came in for criticism for allowing the couple's inflammatory and damaging claims to go unchallenged. There was also anger at their decision to publicly trash their family when Prince Philip was ill…. Well deserved! :flutter: |
The GBP know the score
