i saw a christmas advert on tv last night

looking forward to this

i was watching that great Tiktok last night where Adele dressed up as Adele and went to an Adele tribute act audition - its brilliant. A few of them immediately twigged but some were like "no that iant adele".





brilliant comment: "I remember seeing someone years ago saying Adele has the singing voice of an angel but the speaking voice of someone who would shank you for a pasty."

Agreed. There are a lot of words I’d use to describe Adele, but versatile probably isn’t one of them.

Still she has a bloody good discography and I hope we get some bangers

I’m still waiting for a full-on soul/R&B album from her…

That being said, this is nice but it’s not really lead single material, Rolling in the Deep and Hello are a lot stronger

could've also shown her versatility as a artist, but no she's just a one trick pony :idc:

Very much a case of listening because of true artist rather than the quality of the song

the song is meh and that seems to be the overall opinion once you clear away the fanboy chatter online

i don't think it's anywhere close to her best song. It shows how poor other offerings are when she dwarfs them any time she releases anything even if it is mediocre

tbh with Adele she leaves it so long between releasing albums its a given no matter how samey her songs are that they will do well

after listening it a few times, it's far from a classic

One of my favourite songs is Adele's "Someone like you", this one is nowhere near as good or as memorable. Pleasant enough I suppose but that's all.
