Ever knowingly broken the law?
Inspired by Zizu in Michael's Crime Witness thread.
I've refused to pay the TV licence fee for a long time. Never got any come back. |
Yes i have, its a needs must thing sometimes when you are young with no support, many many years ago now.

I think I’ve only committed one misdemeanour and at the time ( I was 12 ) ... I just figured that I’d outwitted the shop assistants rather than broke any law . I was rummaging through some albums ( only vinyl in the early 70’s) and I noticed the some of the stick on price tags were peeling off so I put a 99p tag on an album cover and removed the £4.99 one . That said , I must have known it was wrong as I do recall being very nervous as I paid at the counter .. |

I dont think I ever done a crime how uncool of me :bawling::bawling::bawling: |
Walked out of a store completely aware that the cashier had not charged me for 9 bottles of wine….:hehe:

I've broken the law loads....am sure most people have. I break to speed limit regularly...not excessively but enough to have broken the law. I have shoplifted in my youth. Drank and smoked whilst underage. Taken illegal drugs in my youth. Trespassed. Could go on and am sure most people have broken many many laws in their lives....whether they care to admit it or not
|
yes I have

Yeah I did one over zoom recently and you do feel a bit aggrieved paying £80/90 for an old fella to lecture you from his kitchen for 3 hours but it's better than the alternative. It is quite entertaining as well as everyone's there with a burning sense of injustice and thinks they were particularly unlucky to be caught (although in my case I really was - empty motorway early Sunday morning and I exceeded a 40 limit that's on a small section which is normally very busy in the week)

Best exchange I had with a police sergeant when near the town centre on a Friday afternoon in traffic
A sergeant in a gate way with a radio report people on the phone to traffic police further down the road I was on the phone , some one shouted the phone at me and then even louder the phone get off the phone being my usual self I turned round and shouted with venom go and fcuk yourself At this point the police sergeant jumped out behind my car and said that’s it. I was stopped further down the road by a lovely wpc who said why did you say what you did to my sergeant?, I said because he was aggressive towards me She said ok, I went on a phone course wich was a good laugh. |
i got caught once excessively speeding (over 120mph ) The police breathalysed me, realised i was sober and booked me for doing 80mph So I considered that a win

Everyone breaks a few traffic laws now and then, surely... I personally don't believe there are many drivers these days who aren't regularly doing 80 on the motorway, it's practically the new unofficial speed limit.
Other than driving stuff... just petty things really. underage drinking, some mostly light drugs in my teens/uni age (again thats most people surely). Rather a lot of copyright theft, which as we know, sadly funds TERRORISM! FACT! I don't have a TV license as we genuinely don't watch live TV... but we MAY have watched Eurovision last week... :worry: Trying to think if there's anything big. I don't THINK there is. Not that I can remember anyway :umm2: |

Last time I broke the law the judge said to me...MR R*****, next time you appear in this courtroom, bring your toothbrush...I nearly wept as I mouthed thank you to him, I thought I was going to the big hoose that time.

It was so embarrassing. Same time as chris Evan's show, and the local headline in the local paper was.."dont forget your toothbrush" Can honestly say it was the wake up call I needed, and ai now walk away from confrontation like a big jessie. |
Nicked a 10p packet of crisps from school when I was 14 and that's because all the people queuing in front of me were taking ages and break was about to end and I was hungry. But that's about it. I'm so boring

You can get 6 penalty points and a £200 fine if you hold and use a phone, sat nav, tablet, or any device that can send and receive data while driving or riding a motorcycle. You’ll also lose your licence if you passed your driving test in the last 2 years. You can get 3 penalty points if you do not have a full view of the road and traffic ahead or proper control of the vehicle. You can also be taken to court where you can: be banned from driving or riding get a maximum fine of £1,000 (£2,500 if you’re driving a lorry or bus) |

I was on a zoom speed awareness course about two years ago There was six of us, lady running it was winding it up at the end an old boy said can we go now? , I need to go to the toilet, then we heard this massive fart. |
Yep and suffered the consequences of the law.
Something I rarely mention as I am ashamed |

I heard there was a chase, and you hid in a bin...the coppers were really angry and you could hear them shouting.. One of them shouted "I'm gonna shove this truncheon up your arse when I find you" You then shouted, "im in the bin" |

It was worse than that. I got tasered. I was man handled but not in the sexy way :bawling: |
Quote:
Ouch...what did you do? |
Quote:
Did it hurt? I've kind of wanted to be tasered to see what its like (bit weird like that) but knowing my luck my heart would explode or something  |
