England lost, who's to blame?
Wait for the Poll.
|
The referee. A million %.
|
Didn’t watch the game.
At the end of the day it’s just a game of football. |
Poll ready.
|
I honestly believe if it weren't for the ref we'd have won.
|
the manager is a serial loser
so is the captain fact |
it was the england teams fault, they simply weren't good enough. The ref always gets blamed for a teams failings
The fact that there is VAR means that the refs decisions are scrutinised. If they don't think there was an infraction then the game plays out. Everyone knows that football is subjective and people blaming everyone but the team that lost are just bad losers, simple as that |
:nono: the ref is apparently being scrutinised for his poor decisions I heard.
|
Sadly, even if Kane had scored the penalty, I think France would have won in extra time. They were more clinical in box and scored their goals in play. They were the better team on the night
|
Didn't watch but they lost end of.
|
england are out, they are already home. The end
|
not winners and never have been
|
The main one to blame is the Referee, without his mistake in particular for France's first goal, Giroud's goal would've been the equalizer rather than the winner. Leaving the game to be very wide open going into extra time.
Obviously though Kane taking a penalty like he was playing a game of Rugby was beyond shocking to see, at least if Lloris saves it you can at least tell yourself that Kane hit it on target. And Southgate bringing Grealish on with 2 minutes to go was absurd, plus he was overly cautious against France imo. |

I'm blaming Southgate mostly.
He picks the team. He decides the substituted and when they come on. I don't know what he was watching deep into the second half but the substitution made with only 3 minutes left of ADDED time was bizarre to say the least. Other factors obviously contributed to the loss but the team he originally sent out and the changes he made and when, were questionable. |
Well the team were to blame. They’re paid stupid amounts of money to kick a ball in a net. They failed

Because France got away with a lot of rule breaks, and I'm not exaggerating. |

And especially when the Referee kept giving France free kicks for an England player walking near them, his agenda was made very clear. |

Harry Kane, as he should've given someone else a opportunity at the 2nd penalty
and the fans a bit, stop with the ''only sing when ur winning'' thing :fist: always stand behind your team pls |
I mean, I’m not a football expert, but if a person or team loses, it’s because they’re not as good as their opposition, so the answer is obvious really
|
I'de put it down to lady luck.

Southgate

tactically Southgate is a bit weak, but he does learn. If you put his constant need to be politically correct to one side, he has created a very good organisation behind the team, and that's no small feat. Also, I don't know of any competent person that is available to take over

He didn’t learn from his mistakes against Croatia or Italy I’d keep him on as long as he agreed to have someone there for strategies/ tactics like Potter .. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

There has been the odd game in Football though where a fundamental decision that the Referee got wrong has made a huge impact on the result, especially if the opposition is already a really good team like France, basically it was made nearly impossible for England to win this particular game. |

So many matches can result in the luck just not being with you. Good one Kazanne. |
The manager is a loser
i dont know how many more times this has to be illustrated? |
but he is a nice man they say
yep winners are not |
1) Kane. The missed penalty was the turning point.
2) The ref was bad but England had their chances to level. See point one. 3) Southgate is too cautious. I like that he's careful and defensive but he need to recognise the time to go for it. These opportunities don't come around five or six times in a career but it looks like he gonna need four or five goes at winning a major tournament to actually win it. He needs to recognise its time to become 'Sir' Gareth and go for it. He also needs to move away from his favourite players. Saka was drawing two defenders for most of the 2nd half but Southgate took him off for Sterling? |
