Which pill are you choosing?

arista 31-05-2023 02:10 AM

Blue Pill

Fast

Mystic Mock 31-05-2023 02:23 AM

Blue Pill.

I do miss aspects of my childhood, but I wouldn't want to go to School again.

arista 31-05-2023 02:27 AM

Sod that
at the age of 6
you can not do what a Adult does.

The Money has far better use.

LaLaLand 31-05-2023 02:53 AM

Red tbh.

I miss too many people who're sadly no longer here so to spend even just an hour with them again would be worth more than any money to me.

Kate! 31-05-2023 03:29 AM

Blue. I could make a lot of people very happy with that.

bots 31-05-2023 04:14 AM

neither

UserSince2005 31-05-2023 05:24 AM

Red. Invest in the right stocks and £10m is pocket change

joeysteele 31-05-2023 07:02 AM

Red, no doubt at all on that one for myself.

Which, is dangerous
as all the info you have as a 6 year old
could end your life more early

Blue for more or less the same reason. You could make a lot more than 10 million if you could go back to the (for me) early 90's with insider knowledge of what's going to happen (Intel, Microsoft, Apple, Google, Amazon, Tesla, etc.) ... heck, you could be a multi-multi-millionaire if you could go back to 2009 with knowledge of Crypto. Buy a few hundred £ worth of Bitcoin in the first few months of its existence and sell it in 2021 = instant £100 million+

BUT biology is so full of infinite possibility that even if you engineered it so that you'd have kids with the same partner - they wouldn't be the same kids.

So I think this is a no-brainer for most people with kids... if you choose red, you're writing them out of existence :umm2:.

Maybe some people have crap kids I guess.

I think most people who said Blue don't have kids (on this thread anyway)

I was going to say Red but I hadn't factored in the kids so yeah blue

the butterfly effect is real. Change 1 little thing, and existence could change. Compound that with every person on the planet having the opportunity make their choices again and there is no guarantee they will go the same way again. So even knowing what happened first time round may do you no good whatsoever

Very true but that might be a good thing as well  I love that movie by the way The Butterfly Effect, have you seen it?

smudgie 31-05-2023 09:53 AM

Neither, I take more than enough pills already.

bots 31-05-2023 09:53 AM

no, haven't seen it, well, at least, not in this existence

I think you're thinking too much into this.

This pill question is just fantasy, it isn't possible to happen.

so my answer of neither was obviously the correct one

thesheriff443 31-05-2023 10:16 AM

Me as a 6 year old knowing everything I know, all I can say is I would be getting the crap beat out of me

thesheriff443 31-05-2023 10:20 AM

It’s blue.
Because who’s to know you don’t get run over on your sixth birthday

We can’t have you getting pregnant at your age:laugh:

Absolutely nothing’s showing in your O.P. but whichever gets me rich fast. I’m fed up of being skint after essentials all the time. I’m running out of excuses as-to why I’m not going on holiday this year or doing this thing or the other with money.

Offline no-one knows that I have no money at the moment (not really) so I keep having to flake out of things that I’m otherwise willing/needing to do so it doesn’t make sense to re-start my life at the moment when I could make an improved one for myself with more cash flow.

Exactly. I shake my head at the news every day when I hear all these stories of people who were once well-paid pharmaceutical managers reduced to eating cornflakes twice a day and not being able to pay for maintenance of their cars (if they drive). Going back in time would be amazing but realistically the average person can’t afford to at the moment.

If you went back to when you were 6 years old, you would have no financial obligations at all though

Yeah but I’ve come this far in life and at the moment (inasmuch as we all have all sorts of problems going on at any one time) I’d say that I had no problems if my bread-stack was up. My disposable bank-account figure is appalling and it’s driving me flaming crazy. Had I had to choose either pill in 2018 I’d have chosen to go back to being a 6-year-old with all the knowledge I have now but at this particular point I’d just have to go with the 10 million at this particular point, because I’m pretty fed up. I’d just choose the immediate financial fix out of desperation.

user104658 31-05-2023 04:11 PM

I think the blue pill figure is too high to make the red all that tempting for anyone tbh... realistically you can build any life you want (within reason, not Elon Musk's life) with £10 million cold hard cash.

Comfort’s a key word. What’s the point in having good mental health if you’ve got no money to enjoy your life comfortably with?

depends how old you are too though

Redway 31-05-2023 04:56 PM

But then the red option tempts me. People’s current situations can always change in the blink of an eye but I’m sure we all have regret from the past we’d like to correct. I don’t know. I’m torn.

Most men of a certain age will reach for the blue pill out of habit :hehe:
