For me, Yinrun looked the scariest and Noky looked the most beautiful. I loved the colour of her lipstick

Olivia. Zombie cheerleaders have always been great.

And Henry's for the comic value.

Henry, ironic since he hated it :laugh: His was the most fun

Dylan walking round shouting with blood all over him like a deranged butcher.

Have to say Henry just because everyone else looked evil and he just looked friendly.

He's not acting either, he fits psycho perfectly ! .

Interesting that the costumes were chosen uk reflect their individual personalities / personas

I wondered if that was the case too, Zizu, but I thought I was probably reading too much into it. I like that you noticed that too, as I’m quite convinced the costumes were quite carefully selected.

I don’t know why, as clowns don’t scare me, but I found a Yinrun quite creepy!

To be fair I wouldn’t have given them too much thought until I saw Henry’s pumpkin outfit .. which was so left-field that I looked for a pattern.

Henry is a food writer ..

Jordan - mysterious

Paul - devil

Olivia - unbalanced ( film character )

Tom - sinister Grim Reaper ( reflecting his disturbing outbursts)

Oh, that’s interesting as I interpreted some of them slightly differently! Again, maybe I was reading too much into it.

Jordan, for instance, became a vampire as he is sucking the life out of Henry and Matty, thereby Henry becomes a pumpkin as he’s being made to look silly by Jordan and somehow less of a person, as he goes quiet and retreats when Jordan and Matty start to flirt. Matty becomes the clown as he’s being made to look a fool in the scenario, even though he is knowledgeable and intelligent.

Dylan becomes the blood covered butcher/chef waving around the meat cleaver, as he is always preparing the chicken in the kitchen and getting riled in particular about housemates’ meat consumption, and the cleaver suggests he is somewhat unbalanced and dangerous like some mad psycho killer.

Noky is given the costume which accentuates her beauty, rather than her character, because her focus seems to be on her image and her achievements as a beauty Queen.

I would add to Olivia that her very short costume also suggested she relies a little too much maybe on her sex appeal, and is a bit naughty and provocative, but I don’t know if that matches the character from the film you mention.

Paul becomes the devil, as he doesn’t really consider or care about the people around him, or that his behaviour causes problems and can make them suffer. He has little sympathy if he upsets them, so he’s a bit soulless.

And that was about as far as I got! (I studied English at Uni and have taught it, so I might have read too much into things, as I’m trained into analysing characters!) I must admit though, I’m rather tempted consider the rest of the costumes more closely to prove or disprove our theory!

Noky the nun? How does that one fit.

Yinrun because she understood her role perfectly.

Jenkin because giving him a skeleton costume was the funniest joke all season.

Noky because she was smokin.

Remember the producers know them all far , far better than we do they’ve known them all for ages .. and then allocated the costumes appropriately

As regards Olivia’s movie character I just can’t recall her name but she was unpredictable and unbalanced
( two movies )
