Bad Santa
I have earmarked Saturday for my annual get drunk and watch Bad Santa night :pipe: |
Love Actually is a guilty pleasure though
And National Lampoon is also a goodie I like It's a Wonderful Life but it's not reallyyyy that Christmassy apart from the last 20 minutes |

It's your turn to do the Tibb Advent Calendar tomorrow lovely x |

Never fear the advent calendar is even more important than Bad Santa night |

I love you though. |
A Christmas Carol, the 80s version. I do like the Jim Carey version a lot too though and that's the one we watch every Christmas Eve as it's my sons favourite

"It's a wonderful life" isn't just the greatest Christmas movie. It's also one of the greatest movies ever.

The Shop around the corner
Miracle of 34th Street White Christmas Home Alone A Christmas story Muppets Christmas Carol National Lampoon's Christmas vacation Ernest saves Christmas Along with the two I already mentioned are the best And obviously Die Hard if that counts? I've still never seen Elf or Bad Santa. I might put that right this year. |

It feels like people want other people to enjoy nothing in life. I haven't seen Love Actually personally, but I did like the first Home Alone when I watched it for the first time a few years ago. And if we count it, then I'm going for Die Hard as my favourite Christmas Movie.:joker: |

Gremlins is a christmas movie yes, it is set in christmas time
also the ''do you hear what i hear'' song such an iconic scene in that, when the gremlins put that on in Billy's house when they just hatched, with billy's mom them eating the heads of the puppet cookies  ---------- Die Hard is also set in christmas time, is a christmas tradition here in my nation's tv channel to show it around this time of year ----- @Vanessa have u also seen the newest Home Alone, the entire franchise btw is on Disney+ too, they have so much christmas content now, classics, specials and new |
i come from a generation where we got to see film premiers over the christmas week, so there was an endless number of films i could consider my christmas favourite
|
I like The Snowman animated short film.
I was looking around for a funny meme I saw about it the other day, but I can't find it. |

If you like a bit of Raymond Briggs. Then let me suggest to you "When the wind blows" |
It’s a Wonderful Life. I’m always blubbering mess by the end, every single time without fail.

There was complaints of not enough diversity , but the only character people seem to remember is Peter played by chiwetel Ejiofor. They forget about The prime minister's secretary Annie played by Nina Sosanya & the erotic movie director Tony played by Abdul Salis. I wonder how many people have watched the deleted scenes on dvd , there's a companionship they cut out between 2 older women, and one of them dies .I thought at first they were sisters...but I think it's implied it could be more. But neither of them are in the movie itself which is strange. |
As for my favourite Christmas movies
Most of the Scrooge's / Christmas Carols The Santa Clause Jingle All The Way Polar Express I end up watching atleast 1 of the Home Alone's as it's usually on Christmas day And for the first time in years I rewatched one called 'Greatest Store In the world ' ,which has a few familiar actors. And plenty other Christmas movies aswell . |

My favourite line from that movie is when Arnie is cornered by the counterfeit toy peddlers who are all dressed like Santa just before they get raided by the police. And to escape he swipes a toy badge and pretends to be a cop. And then as he's leaving he calls out to the rest of the police: 'Alright, put them in a van and lock 'em up!' :joker: |
One i forgot .... violent night
|
Die Hard.
|
…there is a Christmas movie called Noel…I don’t know why it’s remained lesser known because it’s such a strong Christmas story and very emotional….and the cast is exceptional…Susan Sarandon, Paul Walker, Penelope Cruz, Robin Williams, Alan Arkin….its not one that is shown very much through the Christmas period but I love it…it’s also one of my absolute favourites…
|
I only watched Love Actually a couple years ago for the first and i thought it was utterly crap :joker:
