…to be fair though…I don’t think it’s all about what people consume as such or about stepping away away from the internet because so many extremely worrying comments/slurs etc are unavoidable…I googled this story yesterday because for information and one of the first sites that came up…(…a very well known community network/forum site….)….was totally filled with blatant anti-Semitic and actually, barely concealed hateful remarks…and those were the ones that were open to all access, even those who aren’t members of that community….I noticed there were other sections that were ‘restricted’ to members…with the comments that were shown, I can’t even imagine the ones that aren’t been shown except to members….and that was just in googling some information about the story….

…every time I see the thread title, though…I think it’s about the Lana Del Rey track…/…Did You Know that there’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Boulevard…

On the thread... this whole thing is ringing alarm bells for me with current global events. The efforts to dehumanize Jews pre-WW2 were extreme, and they lead to some of the most brutal events in human history. People need to be very, very careful with this sort of rhetoric.

…it’s reported that there were some arrests today or yesterday…it seems to be some kind of ongoing dispute over land/building ownership, which is something that’s been known…?… …from my understanding, it’s just erupted or escalated now because cement has been poured in to fill the tunnels …

…oh I should add that the arrests were for minor disputes/misdemeanors…not for any serious charges or that any worrying activity is suspected…

it's basically a tunnel that students have used as a shortcut. The reason its been in the news is because there was a conflict between students and police. Plenty news channels have covered it, they just haven't used it to express anti semitism
