coffee bean prices have increased pretty rapidly too

Sometimes I just get a single espresso. That's around two pounds, one pound at McDonald's.

Tea is better

I've never understood why people go to coffee shops.

If I want a coffe, I'll have it in my house.

Same with a burger. Cook it in the house and enjoy it in the house.

I often think many people are brainwashed into doing what others do.

Kids have seen the American slebs walking around NYC and LA with coffee cups and like to be like them

Sometimes you're out and about and you fancy a coffee :laugh:

i've used those coffee shops at the airport or the train station when i'm waiting, but i wouldn't use them at any other time

It's like with beer. You could have a can at home for a quid or pay £4/£5 to drink it in a pub. You're getting ripped off in the pub but the ambience is better and the product is slightly better. Same thing applies to cafes

I take a flask of coffee to work, have done for years. Coffee shops don't interest me in the slightest.

Love a flask of coffee on a picnic with some sandwiches, crisps and boiled eggs

Yeah you can't beat it. It's first job for me in the mornings. Or when we go fishing, getting all set up, casting out then sitting back and relaxing with a nice flask of coffee.

Yeah but you can't do that if it's freezing or pouring down with rain .

I’d still rather have a Costa than a Nescafé. But yeah. Inflation is disgusting.

We are continually ripped over here in the UK two Coffees are 3 euros 20 or thereabouts where we go in Spain and in most places they come with a biscuit, a small slice of cake...here a coffee on its own is close to 4 quid...how?

There's nothing wrong with scamming people.

I know that it's inflation really.:laugh:

It's people being lazy more than following the herd, in this particular scenario.

Plus McDonald's and Burger King do nice food, despite what some "sophisticated" and "hip" people want to say.

I'm a Gold blend Intense person, have been for years 2 spoons Perfect !!

Mmm one spoonful is adequate for me … I must be a lightweight .. although I have a very sensitive palate .

Is the Intense stronger than the Gold Blend or just different ?

We’ve had the standard Nescafe on holiday and found it bitter compared to Gold Blend

i vary the beans i use regularly, because your palate gets used to the taste very quickly and you lose the benefit

I got a no frills hot chocolate from a mobile vendor last week and it cost me £4:70 :conf:

This morning I felt mildly rebellious so I mixed a little Nescafe Gold Blend with some Mellow Birds … rather dreamy !!
