Emma brilliant tonight

She's cracking me up with the one liners :laugh3:

Crimson Dynamo 16-10-2024 09:01 PM

She stole the show

Vicky. 16-10-2024 09:02 PM

Definitely her night

GoldGlitter 16-10-2024 09:02 PM

Couldn't stand her tonight. She is doing everything Ali was accused of doing with Khaled. Get the nasty bully out.

Adamw92 16-10-2024 09:06 PM

She was so funny tonight, really nice to see her get some screen time

Ammi 16-10-2024 09:08 PM

……it’s such a joy to see a housemate so enthused in the task…if only all politicians could be like Emma…

UserSince2005 16-10-2024 09:09 PM

Is she an actress. She took to the role really well. We are talking about the old
Women right?

Maru 16-10-2024 09:10 PM

We needed Emma so much tonight. Too much miserable-ness the past few episodes

thesheriff443 16-10-2024 09:12 PM

She is a part time actress so it didn’t surprise me
She sounds like Gail’s mum in coronation street

Ohhhhh. *Bites tongue*

Why are you using the bully word?

Words have importance and that is ridiculous

Yeah and it's hardly bullying to call Izaaz a **** stirrer and then for them to cut away to Izaaz literally saying 'Im being a **** stirrer!' :joker:

Mystic Mock 16-10-2024 10:36 PM

Emma is the funniest Housemate this series imo.

She has genuine wit.

GlitterUK 16-10-2024 11:04 PM

Can see Emma going far. If they start Emma to win chants I wonder who will start sucking up to her.

jet 16-10-2024 11:13 PM

I really like her. Out of them all, she is the least guarded, just being herself. (Nathan is a close second.) I love her wit!

GlitterUK 16-10-2024 11:36 PM

Her & Nathan together are great tv.

Yep, they make a great duo.

joeysteele 16-10-2024 11:47 PM

She was really excellent in this task.

Mrluvaluva 16-10-2024 11:56 PM

Khaled "Can you blow for England?" Emma "I can." I almost spat my drink out. :joker:

GlitterUK 17-10-2024 12:01 AM

Then the wink at Nathan just to finish it off.

Abra 17-10-2024 01:11 AM

She was hilarious, she played that role so well

She's not a bully but she definitely let the power go to her head , same with Nathan who actually thinks part gate is funny.

Bagel drama was so unnecessary, I understood why Dean threw it away....Izaaz made a big deal out of nothing ,and Emma also looked annoyed so why doesn't she just admit it . She clearly said " oh it's gone in the bin", she didn't like that decision but she acting like she was fine with it .

They're all so petty, just shows how bored they must be ...even when they're doing a task...they still have to make a fuss.

Even Dean was still getting annoyed aswell, they all need to get over it .

And Izaaz clearly wanted more air time just for giggles , he's clashing now with Khaled . Izaaz will likely be nominated next week.

Stop trying to cherry pick to strengthen your argument. She said that the only time "he's sweet is when he's asleep" They all cackled like high school bullies. and in dairy room she called him a "strange boy" When a gay woman called Khaled a nice boy she was patronising condescending and a bully but when heterosexual Emma does it she's amazing and witty.

Tbf, Izaaz is really strange.

I've felt that way about him for awhile now, so Emma's just expressing what I've been thinking with Izaaz and Lily.:joker:

Ammi 17-10-2024 05:51 AM

…that task was definitely made for Emma, she’s kind of a ‘natural entertainer’ isn’t she…what’s a joy to see as well is an older/oldest female housemate not feeling a bit more ‘out of it’ with the younger housemates which can often happen…I like her honesty and forthright way, I like her humour, I like her enthusiasm in that task…I just like her, that simple really…

In total fairness to you, I didn't like how she immediately thought of Izaaz for the last stage of the task as a means to 'punish him'. But that was more because I thought they should be thinking strategically on how to pass, not as a means of getting back at someone.

Still, as a means of getting back at someone, it's still very light, and in every other area, BB very narrowly limited their powers to what was necessary for the task. Aside from that one instance already mentioned, I don't think it's totally fair to say the power went to their heads. They enjoyed the little perks of being in a position of privilege in a classic BB 'divide the house'-style task. They're not the first to do so, and they won't be the last.

Emma was probably genuinely annoyed about the bagel being thrown, I'll admit, but to play devil's advocate here, she was generally overacting for the purposes of playing up to the task. So there's some degree of ambiguity there. I agree that it wasn't a big deal. And having said that, getting away from the actual incident itself, I understand the irritation one might feel in having someone else presume to speak for you or use your name for some measure of clout/persuasion. I don't think Emma was wrong for being annoyed by that particular facet of 'Bagelgate' :joker:

Cherry picking to strengthem my argument? :joker: You need to stop reading the likes of reddit and taking yourself quite so seriously. All I did was point out that it's not bullying to call someone a **** stirrer when there's literal footage of the guy saying 'I'm being a **** stirrer' and chuckling away like a little kid.

We'll agree to call it bullying when she's leading a sustained and concentrated effort to make him feel alienated from a large portion of the house. All we've seen thus far is her make a very light ribbing about him (in a conversation where most of the participants were criticising him to one degree or another anyway) and maybe being a bit condescending in reference to him in the DR (though I'd argue there's a world of difference between a 53 year old calling you a boy when you're not in earshot, and a 38 year old doing it right to your face after actually trying to alienate a large portion of the house from you).

If you think what Emma did last night was bullying, then you've a very precious and liberal definition of what that constitutes, imo.

vesavius 17-10-2024 09:16 AM

Always been an Emma fan. Under that cougar mutton dressed as lamb thing she has going on there is a sharp brain. She's very self aware and aware of others.

I think that it's easy to underestimate her.

Attempting to label her as any kind of 'bully' is stupid.
