Here’s why Segun should win…

Lol, there is no reason.

GlitterUK 14-11-2024 04:16 PM

...because he is a nice guy deep down. Maybe not win but he can take 5th.

No he can take 6th and be thankful he got that, as not deserved at all.

GlitterUK 14-11-2024 04:17 PM

Nooooo 6th is reserved....for Nathan.

:nono:

He has done things which are memorable throughout. He deserves a better placing than Segun.

God no.

MTVN 14-11-2024 05:05 PM

It is quite funny that Seguns top 3 moments have all been when he's found himself accidentally at the centre of things without knowing anything about it

- the totally oblivious task
- Lily wrongly giving him a shoutout from Ali's partner
- Hanah's home girl dragging him two days before the final

Shegz is a lovely guy but I would not like to spend a 4 hour train journey (with 6 cans of Stella) with him

I would with Emma or Nathan

(Ali I would push off the train in the station)

This thread is brilliant.

Cherie 14-11-2024 05:52 PM

He should win because I would win 350 pounds, thats good enough for me

jokes aside, he gets unnecessary hate for being too nice  I think he is genuinely a nice guy and I like that he has the bravery to bring his Christianity to the house, I know Khaled and Hanah brought their religion too but nobody will have a bad word to say about that, even last night when he said Ali could have his coin, she eyed him with suspicion and then rewarded him by bitching with Nathan about him in the garden, although they both agreed he was a nice guy and that he is very funny but that was not enough for them :joker:this was a clip on L and L btw

They also showed a clip of Ali saying he must be weighed down by all his cash, she really is a bitter cow :hee:

I think Segun is finishing 6th unfortunately. But I agree Nathan should instead.

rusticgal 14-11-2024 06:44 PM

I like him…he has a lovely nature. Just not entertaining or opinionated enough.

When he is evicted he will walk out cash in one hand, bible in the other

They see Segun as a weak cowardly and they think it's funny to mock him with his faith, and they see it as him being caught out . They know they can't mock Hanah as she'll slap them down (not physically of course lol) , even Nathan ignorantly assumed Segun could just easily convert for Hanah...as if it's as simple as changing a pair of shoes.

I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice Segun's kind gesture of offering Ali his coin. But of course she's suspicious of it.

In her words " Segun is just trying to look good and like a nice person" , Ali still got half her message aswell thanks to Marcello . Imo both Hanah and Segun have been dishonest about their feelings for eachother, difference is Segun has been a bit silly & naive by putting the blame mainly on Hanah.

The seeing Lily moment when she came in from storage and he freaked out.

GoldHeart 15-11-2024 01:27 AM

Whatever you think of Segun , Emma was talking utter sh1t to make Segun look bad . She's like a gossiping nosy cow. And then she's trying to twist things.

She's accusing Segun of throwing her under the bus, when it was the other way around.

Nathan has arguably been the biggest character of the series.

He deserves to at least beat Segun imo.

That's my favourite Segun moment.

He will maybe be an interesting follow after he is out. I think he misstepped with Hanah but that was a mutual choice between the both of them. The Christian bashing is a bit much. We have it here too, but not to this extent :spin: ... it's cowardly behavior because it is sidelining someone for something so simple, imo. There's not much any of them can really say about him except that he is definitely a coaster and yeah the messiness with Hanah... which they both participated in that mess.

I am always skeptical of people who zoom in on overly nice traits and try to pick at their scabs. It is a weird fixation, like they are almost livid... how dare they be praised for not being miserable and for being amicable. I get there are wolves in sheeps clothing and all that that exists, but damn... not everyone has to know themselves 24/7 and I think that is why they put Segun in there, is because he is a bit naive emotionally and doesn't seem to have a grasp on everything that is going on around him a good portion of the time... but he is not "confused", just naive... I didn't like the impression he gave the first night, I thought he would be more like Marcello, in that he would go after the women a bit just based on his vanity. For the most part he just does his things with Hanah... I think if Khaled were in, the whole situation with Hanah probably would have gone better as he would have had a stronger voice than Marshmellow and Thomas to set him straight.

GoldHeart 15-11-2024 04:50 AM

@Maru Marshmello lol

Anyway back to the Segun topic, what I find interesting is on L& L the other night...some audience members were defending him,and actually said they think he's just a nice guy ,and how people probably expected some " stereotype" from him. Which I think is correct.

I think the housemates ( not all ) but certainly a few of the finalists, thought Segun would act like Marcello or something. And just imagine if Segun did act like Marcello...they still wouldn't like it ,and they'd be calling him aggressive & vulgar.

I think Segun's problem is how he's handled the Hanah situation, and being a bit of a fence sitter. But overall he's been funny at times and actually a nice guy , he's obviously very into his faith as well which is cool .

I am still recovering from C5 days. They used to love casting fame-hungry male player types. Some that were Andrew Tate-lite (Bear). Think every stereotype but copious amounts of cringe and desperation. And they would put in women that were on the other side of that scale which didn't help.

I'm glad I didn't watch the Andrew Tate series, and I stopped watching the John James one ...as he was horrible. Bear sounded like an idiot aswell, who just like annoying people.
