In a new video posted to her Instagram account, McCall explained: “Hi, so I’m posting this it will be Friday morning. I’m doing it because a few months ago I did a menopause talk for a company and they offered me a health scan in return, which I thought I was going to ace, but it turned out I had a benign brain tumour called a colloid cyst, which is very rare.”

She's having an op to remove it from what I can gather.

It's benign though so that's ok, isn't it? Obviously brain surgery is scary regardless

Not really, it depends on where it's located and what size it is. It's unusual to fully recover from something like that

…..awwwwwwwww, I had similar many years ago with a benign tumour…and as my medical guy said, it’s just something that’s better to be outside than inside…but ‘benign’ is the most wonderful word to hear…I wish her well through her surgery and throughout her recovery time …:love:…

I'm not a fan of Davina, really. However, I am pleased to hear she's pulled through this. Must have been a shock and then a real worry. I do wish her well.

TV presenter Davina McCall is out of intensive care and has made an "enormous leap forward" in the last 24 hours, following her surgery to remove a rare brain tumour.

In an update on her Instagram account her partner Michael Douglas said: "Thanks so much to all the well wishers. She really has made an enormous leap forward in the last 24 hours. She is out of ICU."
