Emma...

....
Was vile for what she said about Lilly. Disgusting. poor Lilly. All she was being was herself. She looked visibly hurt while Emma droned about how she felt for her parents having to be with her and how she wouldn't hang out with her. Get over yourself. You could have kept that to yourself.

Poor Lilly. I hope she goes on to do big things

Pronshi 16-11-2024 02:41 PM

Yeh i really felt for Lily there.
Looked like she was gonna cry.

jones89 16-11-2024 03:01 PM

Lily’s obviously never used to getting told off or put in her place.. might do her some good to hear some truths

BBXX 16-11-2024 03:03 PM

Yeah that was a cruel thing to say. I liked Emma but her attitude towards Lily was strange. She always complained about her, but never said anything to her face, always nominated her apart from the time it would been known by HMs and then she held Ali to account for keeping her in check for issues that she had.

Bizarre.

Indeed

Oliver_W 16-11-2024 04:20 PM

Lily's not a child, and getting to her age without ever hearing how disgusting some of her behaviours are is an accomplishment in itself.

That said, there are ways you can put things.

bots 16-11-2024 04:26 PM

I think Lily's behavior issues are much deeper rooted than her parents. Her entire social circle must be on another level

She doesn’t have one…understandably..

BigAsher 16-11-2024 05:27 PM

I thought it was a bit hypocritical of Emma to say that when she was having a go at Martha for trying to do basically the same thing

That's why Lily behaves the way she does is because everyone enables her.

Emma was pretty bitchy and two faced all series, she managed to do it without losing anything though

caprimint 17-11-2024 12:40 AM

She's so nasty, idk why people liked her

Agreed

I think a few jumped on her bandwagon in desperation trying to derail Ali’s journey to victory!!

She was my favourite HM because I liked her, I found her really funny. Why I liked had literally nothing to do with Ali.

bots 17-11-2024 09:48 AM

i thought emma was an entertaining hm, but i didn't like her. This years show didn't inspire like from me at all really. Too many of them had obvious personality flaws that i just couldn't get past

Zizu 17-11-2024 10:58 AM

I didn’t refer to you specifically .. but interesting to see your point

I was referring to the Ali haters who voted for Emma near the end to try to derail Ali

…yeah, they pretty much all were flawed but I loved that it was the season of the flawed…because that really is reflective of most of us…

Emma vile?? Lily's behaviour the whole way through was vile and it was about time she was called out on it. Yes she was occasionally funny but that doesn't make up for the way she treated others.

And the 'I was just being myself' excuse doesn't wash. Ever. If 'being yourself' is being bad mannered, selfish, spiteful and bitchy which has a massive negative impact on other people then you need to change 'yourself'.

rusticgal 17-11-2024 11:56 AM

What I liked about Emma is she was just herself...she was honest and said what she thought but she managed to get her point across in a funny jokey way that did not offend people. She wasn't rude or bitchy...just because you have an opinion on someone that has an annoying trait that does not make you bitchy more so if you say it to their face as Emma did.
You knew where you stood with Emma...I really liked her.

Clever with it.
So bitchy at times, always prodding other people to see what would happen.
She had a game of her own to play and maybe in a different year she could have won.

But 'Ali haters' (otherwise known as 'people who happen to not like Ali') were always going to vote for someone other than Ali? It doesn't matter who they voted for, there vote was never going to be for Ali

Of course it is helpful for all of us to learn lessons to grow but sometimes being vile is just being vile. If someone is unnecessarily vile, the recipient can potentially just get broken.
Emma is a grown woman she could have made her point without making the attacks so personal.

Ithinkiloveyoutoo 17-11-2024 01:20 PM

There should be a like button for when you can't answer everything in the forum

Exactly. .. but at one point Emma was supposedly the best placed to beat Ali so her detractors obviously piled their votes on Emma

I labelled them ‘haters’ due to the vile , sick comments regularly posted about Ali in this very forum

I really like Emma too i found her funny.

Sorry but it's ridiculous to expect that people are going to flatter Lily and act like her behaviour is acceptable or even normal when it isn't at all. She was disrespectful, selfish, and grossly unhygienic the entire way through the show and the fact that Ali condoned and encouraged her behaviour the entire time is not helpful to her at all. She's a twenty year old woman, it's time she grew up.

I hope she goes on to do well for herself too, but she will have to change her behaviour to make that happen. If anyone else had behaved that way they would have been viciously dragged (and probably would have been out a lot sooner) so I don't know why some people expect there to be a double standard for Lily.

Zizu 17-11-2024 10:10 PM

Emma...

bots 17-11-2024 10:10 PM

well thats obviously not how voters viewed it or she would not have won by a huge margin

She wasn't the only one Nathan also had a lot of unnecessary nasty comments made about him, they are best ignored and concentrate on the positives imo.

BBXX 18-11-2024 08:00 AM

I really liked Emma but her behaviour around Lily was suspicious. I have a feeling Emma thought that the audience could potentially either love Lily or hate her, and so she tried to appeal to both - firstly by moaning about her a LOT but each time she did saying she "felt like a right bitch because she's only young" therefore trying to appease to both camps.

Aside from that, she nominated her every week she could, apart from the week she knew it would be announced the Lily (so F2F noms and HOH).

She was vocal to Ali on the final night (we didn't think that would be aired, said Ali) about Ali enabling her - she expected Ali is fight the battle that she had. At least Hanah did her best to educate Lily and guide her on certain things (as did Ali it turns out) but Emma didn't say **** while being the biggest complainer of her behaviour, probably because she didn't want to look bad to the audience of people who she suspected would love her.

Her comment about feeling sorry for her Mum and Dad and that she bets they would be happy for the break was pretty harsh, but she was out of the house by that point so couldn't say what she wanted without it effecting her game.

I see what you are saying but there are a lot of people who may not want to be directly nasty with their opinions and then bat them off with a comment about themselves to deflect it...thats probably what Emma does all the time. She has an opinion that could easily offend so deflects it back on herself. I dont believe she did it as part of the game...its clearly part of who she is because I found her funny with her quips.

I only watched the first two weeks and couldn’t find anything at all to like

Even her supposedly hilariously one liners had a tinge of preparation to them

She came across as FAKE her boobies

We shouldn’t be insulting HMs appearance if we want our opinion to be respected.
