[USA President Joe Biden has issued an
official pardon for his son Hunter,
who was facing sentencing for two criminal cases.
In a statement, the president said his son
had been "singled out", and called
his cases "a miscarriage of justice."
"From the day I took office, I said I would
not interfere with the Justice Department’s
decision-making, and I kept my word
even as I have watched my son being
selectively, and unfairly,
prosecuted," he added.
Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to tax charges
earlier in September,
and was found guilty of being
an illegal drug user in possession
of a gun in June - becoming the
first child of a sitting president
to be a convicted of a crime.]

What people don't realise is if the trump administration want to go after people, pardoned or not, they will, and nothing can stop them

It would have been a rather Trumpian power move to pardon Hunter Biden early in his presidency, I wonder if Biden wanted to deny him that.

The brainrot Trump Truthers have Hunter Biden interwoven with Ukraine and Trump is up to his tonsils in Russian buttholes... so the chances of Trump pardoning Hunter Biden as any sort of "move" were effectively zero.

I understand the wish to overturn incorrect convictions, but that's what the appeals process is designed for. There is no need for pardon from the executive branch

…I mean, surely the whole concept of a pardon is either that justice will not be served for some because of ‘privilege’….or that the legal system is so flawed that pardons need to be addressed for some …either way it’s flipped, it’s an abuse of power that mocks the very laws that person is governing over…

The thing is, if when Trump gets in, and they expose that the 2020 election was stolen (which it plainly was) then Biden will be seen as a treasonous, illegitimate President, and his pardon will hold no weight.

It's interesting how Biden's victory had five million extra votes compared to 2016 and 2024, which tipped it in his favour.

I'm not saying they were fake votes, as usual the biggest winner this time was probably Voter Apathy. But those extra votes do add fuel to speculation.

No system is flawless so pardon should be reserved for when the people are so obviously wronged it needs addressing.
