Mickey gets first CBB warning for homophobic Remarks
Mickey Rourke gets pulled into the Diary Room during tonight's episode of Celebrity Big Brother following a series of homophobic remarks towards TikTik sensation JoJo Siwa
Mickey Rourke has been issued a formal warning by Big Brother just days after moving into the house. The Hollywood actor was pulled into the Diary Room by bosses following a series of homophobic remarks towards 21-year-old housemate JoJo Siwa. During Wednesday's (April 9) episode, the Hollywood actor asks US sensation JoJo: "Where’s the smoke room? Where’s the cigarette room? He later asks: "Do you like girls or boys?" JoJo replies "Me? Girls. My partner is non-binary." Mickey says to JoJo: "If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore." JoJo says: "I can guarantee I’ll still be gay and I’ll still be in a very happy relationship." In the garden, Mickey asks Chris Hughes if everyone has to vote one another out of the house. Mickey says "I’m going to vote the lesbian out real quick." JoJo overhears and says: "That’s homophobic, if that was your reasoning." Former Love Island star Chris interjects: "You can’t do that Mickey." Mickey then says: "I need a fag" and then gestures to JoJo and says: "I’m not talking to you." Chris responds: "Mickey, you can’t say that" but the actor says: "I know. I was talking about a cigarette." JoJo is left upset by the exchange and is comforted by Chris. Shortly after the exchange in the garden, Big Brother calls Mickey to the Diary Room. Big Brother says: "Mickey before you entered the Big Brother house the rules regarding unacceptable language and behaviour were explained to you. Mickey, do you understand how this language could be offensive to your Housemates or the viewing public?" Mickey says: "Yeah I think so. If I was saying it in a nasty kind of way or if I truly meant it." Big Brother says "Mickey, Big Brother thinks your language was offensive and unacceptable." Mickey agrees: "Alright. I can understand that." Big Brother says: "As a result, Big Brother is giving you a formal warning. Further language or behaviour of this nature could lead to you being removed from the Big Brother house. Mickey, do you understand?” Mickey says: "Yes I do. It’s some serious stuff. I apologise. I don’t have dishonourable intentions. https://www.ok.co.uk/tv/breaking-cel...ickey-35025121 |
Angling for a quick exit without losing his fee.

….’if I stay more than 4 days, you won’t be gay anymore…’…was enough…but then there was more…

…I personally don’t think that he’s angling for anything…this is him, unfiltered and uncut and just not realising acceptable/unacceptable/respecting boundaries etc…

OK, fair enough :joker::joker:
He was clearly joking, but part of a joke is reading the room and making sure everyone is in on it and that you are laughing with them and not at them. The warning was deserved. TBH, he got off really lightly considering what others have been evicted for in the past. |

They know this will blow up in the papers/ socials and they know people will tune in to hate watch him and wait for his next slip up. It's such a gift, they aren't gonna throw it away too soon. |
My first instincts were correct. He's an asshole.

Wonder if he will still use his Guardian Angel power on Jo Jo :laugh:

it's predictable, but he is from my generation with the addition of no filter, the producers would have known what they were getting before he went in

But it's good he apologized. |
Oh also as a side point he also broke the "no discussing noms" rule

Yeah he wont recover from this. It's just a payday for him though, i doubt he'll care after he leaves.

they will probably give him the scooter and tell him to **** off :laugh:

Why they bother I just don't know. They should maybe just fill up the house with the usual vacuous and vanilla influencers, reality stars and models.

After this the rest of the housemates sit down with Mickey ‘in an attempt to help him understand why his comments were offensive’.
He goes on to pull JoJo aside and say: ‘I want to apologise. I’ve got a habit of having a short fuse. And I don’t mean nothing by it. I do mean it [sorry]. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t say it to you.’ Saying she ‘appreciates’ his apology, JoJo then tells Mickey: ‘Anything is ok to say in context and intention – that’s what matters. And if you say something wrong but you didn’t know and you’re open to hearing – all good!’ https://metro.co.uk/2025/04/09/celeb...obia-22879849/ …I like that JoJo and Mickey straightened it out quite quickly and maturely and didn’t allow it to escalate… …I wonder if BB said ‘apologise now, Mickey…’…like they said ‘conga now, Mickey…’…/…I’m joking, I’m sure his apology was sincere… |
