Unfortunately this country can't afford to piss off one of our most powerful allies.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Trump.

If I told you he was getting free hotel accommodation paid for by the state during his visit, would you be happy to have him?

the SNP, say locals

People living near Trump Turnberry in Ayrshire and Trump International in
Aberdeenshire say the US president 'gets things done, quickly and efficiently'...

Have you been hearing about what MasterCard and Visa have been doing recently?

The very definition of a slippery slope imo.

Forcing Steam to take Games with Adult material (with admittedly questionable content,) off of the platform.

Personally I really am not too bothered about that in and of itself as I don't play many Games of that nature anyway.

It's when MasterCard and Visa start turning their attention to Games like GTA, COD, and Doom, even games like Fortnite and Overwatch, is where my problem lies with what they're starting up by telling Steam what Games they can and can't have on their platform.

Because the moral panic never ends with stuff that most people can understand, these groups get power hungry and try to overstep their mark.

I tip that within the next decade, MasterCard and Visa will try to force these storefronts to stop selling Horror Games, and then work their way around to the juggernauts like GTA and Fortnite.

Maru 28-07-2025 03:58 AM

I think it's cool he's visiting places he has history with (or at least his family). I hope it benefits Scotland directly in some way and I think these trips are a real opportunity... it's not often our politicians get to sit together for a chat and since it'll be on mutually friendly turf (his Golf courses... sigh...), then it may make some meaningful conversations more accessible for them... I think if someone is going to protest locally, for example not supporting the endless violence in Gaza. Then this would be the best time to get your politicians attention as these meetings can spark more conversations... if they're bound to happen, anyway...
