So is this the tv project she was hinting at.
Good on her - about time someone gave her something to sink her teeth into. Means the videos will be active once again during the day. Cant wait. |

An authority on women???? YUCK!! They jest surely.............!! |
Please let Helen interview Fed - she will put him in his place :joker::thumbs::thumbs:
|
Oh how fantastic for H. She will be sooooo much better than Kerry 'big boobs' mcfadden. She was slagging off my David earlier on this week. Now now Kerry just because your husband thinks with his, you don't have to tar everybody with the same brush. i can't bear her!!!!!!!!!!! Go H:elephant::dance::hello:
|
Agree, Kerry 'chip shop' Mc Fadden: annoying and thick.
(Your husband will dump you as soon as he learns how to string a coherent sentance together...) Helen is what this programme needs. How has it taken them so long??????? Alison (who I liked on BB3) is starting to really annoy on RI:SE. So obvious she is there as Kate's mate. Why not have Helen on LW? So much better..................She would be oodles better on This morning as well.......... |
Thats great news for Helen
|
Its not that we are biased or anything, but I honestly think Helen could not a better job than the majority, if not all, of the ex BB housemates who are currently on the tele.
As for Ri:se - Kate is so wooden hopefully they will use an axe on her shortly. And as for the rest of the group they insist on bringing in every day, they are RUBBISH. At least Helen has got a personality. Be interesting to see how they use her. Go Helen Go - though she is going to be a bit of a busy bird what with tv and her salon. :hello::hello::hello::hello: |
Helen is listed as one of the presenters for the following week as well.
You won't be happy to learn though that Kerry McFadden is too, though I have to say that when I saw her I thought she was alright when I saw her. |
This is a great opportunity for Helen to prove her capabilities. She has been out of practice for a year so I do hope she reins in slightly the temptation to shout above the others and perhaps talk a little to fast. She had those tendencies well under control on the Lorraine Kelly show. So.........
Good luck Helen........Go for it.....:colour::colour: |
it could go well, but it could be a disaster
|
It's in next weeks Radio Times too.
The wording is: With presenters kaye Adams, Gloria Honeyford, Kerry McFadden etc, with help from Donna Air, Helen Adams and someone else......... |
She's on NOW, she looks great, and we've already had a mention of::hello::hello::hello:
|
Well, there were actually at least two mentions by the end.
Helen was looking lovely, caught a few flies here and there as is her want, but was positively effervescent when matt Goss sat beside her and serenaded her with his new single - which is good incidentally. She got a kiss on the cheek as well. She was obviously a major 'brossette' and we were treated to pics of 10 yr old Helen in her bedroom plastered with Bros posters, and dressed up in Bros mode with her brother Mark. All in all, not a bad start Helen, but close the mouth between words! |
Great to see her again on our TV's. There wasn't much reason for Helen to stop catching flies with such a mundane and boring topic about Geoge Best and his self induced problems. Little wonder Helen was catching flies I think i would have as well.:laugh:
|
catching flies???
what does that mean??? |
The camera showed Helen several time with her mouth open wide looking bemused to say the least. Remember how she used to look in the house at times when feeling puzzled about something.
My mouth was gaping open at the thought of why oh why were they still talking about boring George best right up to the end of the show. There is much more interesting things going on in the world than the failed world of George boy. Get a grip loose women get a grip...... |
hi
do u mean like the pic in your avator? also loose women is poor isnt it??? |
Quote:
 No. nothing like that. She is smiling showing her teeth there. Imagine opening your mouth to say Arrrrr for the doctor. |
ok thanks.
is loose women good or bad?? i cant make my mind up. can u imagine a loose men show being sexist about birds??? never be commisioned |
I thought the first couple of series were good. As i remember they didn't let one subject hog the whole show and there was a lot more fun and humour which would suit Helen down to the ground.
The series before this I was not as impressed with as they are getting a tad to serious me thinks. Alison was on then and although she was ok whenever i bothered to watch I thought Alison was much quieter than normal and a bit out of place. If they start dwelling on "Deep" thought provoking subjects then I think a fun loving person like Helen will get isolated from the conversations. To a certain extent she was today i thouight. I could here her little voice (Yes it was little today:laugh:) piping up but the others were so full of there personal wisdom regarding George Best and his partner that Helen was side lined to an extent. Loose women need to remember the title of the show and loosen up a bit. Helen could give the entertainment value to what has become a watered down version of question time:laugh::laugh: |
I think considering it was Helen's first day she did very well. It was all completely new for her and it showed. That flaming Claire Sweeney annoyed me pushing herself in so much. It must have been difficult for Helen thrown in with 'experienced' presenters.
Loved how she stuck up for Paul regarding who is the hottest in BB. Give her a couple of programmes and I think we will see Helen coming out of herself. They need to let her feel her way. She will get there. Good on you Helen lovely to see you back. |
Yes. helen adapted to the Lorraine show very quickly. It wasn't just clair sweeny they all played a part in not helping Helen to cue herself in and be heard as much as she could have been. But as you say it's her first day. She seemed reasonably relaxed as ever. Helen is trying to drop the "I like blinking saying" She said last time that was her only regret. So what do they do, they introduce her as the girl who likes blinking.
:spin2: |
I thought the susbject was a bit heavy myself, and Gloria Hunniford gave Helen a poison glance whenever she did manage to get her 5 pennorth in.
Anyway, I thought it was an idea to send in my appreciation of her appearance, and express the hope that she'll be on all the time in future! If anyone else wants to, the email address is: loosewomen@itv.com |
Sounds a good idea ROB think I shall be composing an appropriate complimentary text. She needs encouragement and who else should it come from but us lot her loyal supporters
:thumbs::thumbs: |
I sent one already:blush::blush: I hope everyone else is doing one :blush:
or am I just sad?:bawling::bawling: |
I was annoyed at the judgemental comments made by callers-in to the show and people interviewed on the streets about George Best's OH supporting him.
Alcoholism is a disease and if it was any other type of illness that George Best was suffering from, she would be getting credit not criticism. |
I agree James. The whole thing was handled badly really. Alex Best obviously adores George, who despite being a nightmare is I suspect an absolutley lovely man. Unlike that other famous drink damaged footballer with a plethora of talent, he is witty and intelligent. I have also never heard of him being violent, which is a very common picture with alcoholics.
George fell into superstardom at a time when association footballers were admired, but not previously feted by hordes of female fans, or rewarded with wads of money. He was a simple lad who just couldn't handle it when faced with an alladin's cave of women, high life and money. I think it's great that she has stood so devotedly by him. I am sure it's terribly destructive, and certainly understand the bitterness of those who are still awaiting transplants. But it is a disease, and George still has the same head on his shoulders, and the same fundamental insecurities and demons that made him vulnerable in the first place. They also made him one of the most inspirational and gifted players of all time. I will never forget seeing his balletic and seemingly effortless skill on the pitch. This was long before Alex Best's time. Though she may have been initially interested in the legend of George Best, she married the man: frail, vulnerable, prematurely aged and ill. He was all of those things, but he was also mercurial, and boyish with a glint of that sparkle of genius still patently obvious in his eyes. I hope George can get through this, and finally defeat the demons that have plagued his life. Good luck to both of them. |
not on today
|
E-mail to loose women done and dusted.:spin2:
|
E-mail has bounced back as a failed e-mail. Anyone else had this problem:conf:
|
No, wonder why?
|
Mine went through OK. Hope she had loads.
Think they will be rotating presenters if you know what I mean. Be nice if she is on regular days so we can set the videos properly. |
The technical jargon that came back with the e-mail is beyond my understanding of e-mail world. It say's it is a"permanent error" and an automated response from the system.
I put Helen Adams as the subject line. perhaps they are automatically screening out e-mails to avoid abuse e-mails etc to individuals. It was a simple message thanking them for having Helen back on tv and how good it was to see her again. Not that they ever got to read it if the auto system did't accept it for some strange reason. I have one regular e-mail from a forum and it always gets redirected into the junk mail on my hotmail account and it is not junk mail. so these systems are not fool proof it appears. |
Argh, forgot today. Was she on?
|
Fraid not...:bawling: Friday i think..
