So did she not tell him before 9/11 happened that she fancied him alot???. That is realy so sad to lose someone you love alot :bawling:. Even if people lost someone who they were just friends with its still very sad. Tuesday this week will be a day that no one will ever forget. I hope those who was affected by that day are going to be ok.

Loukas 09-09-2007 08:06 PM

XxShortyxX 09-09-2007 08:10 PM

I don't think anyone will forget that day, there ent a day goes pass that I don't. All them people that died, it's so sad.

RockStar 09-09-2007 08:13 PM

I can still remember where I was and what I was doing when the news came in. It's the single biggest tragedy to have happened in my lifetime, and I hope never to see anything like it again.

This is a nice thread. It's good to stop and think about those who lost on that day.

Callum 09-09-2007 08:14 PM

RIP everyone who died in the disaster. My feeling goes out to the friends and family..

Matt08 09-09-2007 08:16 PM

I can remember where I was during 7/7, I was in a maths lesson and the maths teachers sister rang up to tell her that she was OK, no one in the shool had any idea anything had happened. I can't rember where i was for 9/11 though.

XxShortyxX 09-09-2007 08:18 PM

I remember where I was for 9/11 and for 7/7, like I remember where I was and what i was doing when Dianna died, it just sticks with you.

Sod_James 09-09-2007 08:53 PM

The world saw true evil that day and many of us felt and saw things beyond comprehention. Now as we approach six years on, all them feelings of sadness and anger are kept fresh upon our minds.

So let us all remember the victims of that terrible day and let the six anniversary pass with peace and hope as we look forward to the day that the world overcomes the ever growing threat of terrorism across the face of this earth.

newcastlefan 09-09-2007 08:55 PM

we send our condolances out to the 3000 people who died

andybigbro 09-09-2007 10:01 PM

I tried to post in this thread last night but my computer froze.

Amy thank you for creating this thread to allow people to remember and offer a tribute to those who died on 9/11

I remember exactly where I was when this tragedy happend. I was on the 1st day of a holiday in Ibiza and was getting ready for tea with the news on in the background, I never did go out for that meal! I was fixed to the TV for hours with my family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, the families and those people who worked tirelessly to try and save people that day and over following days.

:)tom:) 10-09-2007 03:08 PM

i was 7 when i9/11 happend so i diddnt know about terrorism but all i remember was a massive tower falling down and every one around me fixed watching the tv. i knew somthing was bad.
for 7/7 i was wet play and people were in the halls telling people and teachers were crying i will always remember these moments.
R.I.P to all those who die. my thoughs with f and f.

Thank you Sunny_01 i thought it be a good idea to make this thread to remember that day and all the poor people who were innocently killed :bawling:.

I was at work, in a government building in the UK, so the issue of security alerts was a factor for us. There is one story that there was supposed to have been a team that was to hijack a plane from our Manchester airport, but I could not find substantiation of that.

In church I happened to be preaching the Sunday after 9/11, my prepared sermon was abandoned in favour of a devotional on the stories behind certain hymns which summed up the situation.

I had actually visited DC iin 1999 and some members had visited New York, and one of our members was technically an American citizen.

Four years later, 9/11 fell on a Sunday and I was down to preach, so my sermon was "Out of a Clear Blue Sky - Lessons of 9/11" It was also the last Sunday at the location we had been at for the worship service for just over a decade.

Last year I was preaching on 10 September, so I had to mention it again, as one of a number of things people commemorate.

Tomorrow, 9/11 will be on the same day, 6 years ago, a Tuesday

We have not heard anything about two minute silences, I suspect we will not be having them.

MR.K! 10-09-2007 08:44 PM

i was at school when the attacks happened all i remember is my mum telling me when i got in... everyone was fixated on the tv.. i was there when the towers collapsed..

in october last year i visited New York and it was hard to see the gapping hole which thousands of people died in.. i could still see people excavating the ruins... i couldnt believe that some chineese tourists were taking pictures with there thumbs up.. i felt like punching them

construction of the new tower is underway now.. they are calling the new world trade centre the 'freedom tower' it is to be built one floor higher to show the terrorists that we wont let them win...

R.I.P for all lifes lost on 9/11/01

artists impression of the freedom tower..

Mike 10-09-2007 10:48 PM

RIP to those who lost their lives on what was such a tragic day. Was back in my school days (year 11 at the time) & hadn't heard anything until late that afternoon, got home switched on the tv and there it was the events of what had been happening replaying over and over again. A day that will certainly never be forgotten that's for sure.

I cant believe the nerve of those chinese peopel putting thumbs up for cameras near where all those people died :bawling:. That makes me so angry!!!!!!!. Do they not have any respect for the dead???.

That new tower looks well cool. I hope its built and shows all those terriorts that America isnt scared of them.

Sunny_01 11-09-2007 10:04 PM

sadly Amy some people enjoy the sadness of others and of places.

A friend of mine has been to ground zero and said it was the saddest place she had ever been, this was more than 2 years ago.

BB8:( 13-09-2007 04:16 PM

to be honest with you OK alot of people died

but get over it is wot i say to the Americans that make a big deal out of it every year

we dont do this on 7/7 half of the people i know dont even know what it stands for

Sam! 13-09-2007 04:35 PM

My Mum went to New York in 2002 i think in October, they were still clearing up then, its a huge loss for people who lost there loved ones and Ameria and the whole world really but its good how they are are making a new tower to show they won't be beaten, i also think theres a big memorial on Ground Zero aswell.

Theres a Freedom Tower already made at San Diego Legoland :O Wow Sorry that was random :(

I went to the actual place in April 2004 and they were still clearing up!

Nicola 13-09-2007 08:43 PM

On the actual day of 9/11 I had gone to meet my bloke from work as he had an early finish, I was in his work's canteen and they had the news on when I found out.

On 7/7 I had turned on the TV to watch This Morning but all I saw was news of what had happened, on that day my bloke came home later than what I'd expected as he'd gone to get us some chips, and I was crying cos I thought there might have been other bombings in our area and scared something might have happened to him. He had no idea about the 7/7 bombings until I told him!

BB8:( 13-09-2007 08:56 PM

on 9/11

i was in primary school and from the window of my classroom we could see 2 men digging a whole and it looked like they were burying something so we got the head teacher to ring up the police but they obviously couldn't come and then it turn out that they were just fixing a stone wall
