Have you ever been arrested or questioned

Are there any naughty people on the forum?

Are there any people who have "helped" police with their enquiries?

Sam! 29-12-2007 04:14 PM

Harry! 29-12-2007 04:18 PM

Is it me or has someone posed something SEVEN times?

Shaun 29-12-2007 04:18 PM

No. Questioned twice, but not arrested.

Harry! 29-12-2007 04:19 PM

By the way I have NEVER been questioned or arested!

Stu 29-12-2007 04:22 PM

Ive never been arrested but im on two cautions , both on possesion of cannabis [only about 50 euros worth , and for personal use]. The Gardai in Ireland are fairly liberal in terms of weed as long as its not soapbar or anything gang related though so it was nothing major.

Chri$ 29-12-2007 04:23 PM

Nope

Im a good boy lol

Princess 29-12-2007 04:26 PM

No!

Ruth*Star 29-12-2007 04:38 PM

I haven't been arrested or questioned, but i have sat in the same room while my parents were questioned because a neighbours boyfriend had trashed our garden and broke something (can't remember what he broke).

Matt 29-12-2007 04:41 PM

No.

And if I had I wouldn't be telling you, as it's none of your business.

Matt08 29-12-2007 04:50 PM

Nope, and I don't want to be either. I'm not the type of person for getting myself in trouble with the police or anything.

Dont be too quick to pass judgement. Not all people who have their run ins with the law are criminals. Most are , but some of us have the moral awareness and self consciousness to break the laws we feel are wrong.

Nicky. 29-12-2007 04:53 PM

Noo!!!

lol - :D im not naughty :)

Sticks 29-12-2007 04:55 PM

I have never been arrested, but I have been questioned on few occasions as the complainant

I was targeted by youths in Aberdeen

Mugged in 1994

In hospital after being knocked over by a car

Threatened by someone in 1996

2005 when I was sent a threatening letter

If that counts

The worst was in 1997 or 1998 when I was interviewed by the police over a suspicious death in our tower block, on the floor below mine, of someone I had never known. I even had to give the address of my place of work and subsequently I had to inform them I had been questioned by the police in case the police decided to check up the details I gave them. I think I was even out on the night the person died.

I was not finger printed or required to give a DNA sample, but I suspect now that would be different. That night I was interviewed, I felt that I should have had a lawyer present.

You can still be a goody two shoes, and still find yourself being required to give an account of your movements, so I resent the implication given in the OP.

Spike 29-12-2007 04:56 PM

No, i'm a good boy

Retroman 29-12-2007 05:23 PM

Well I was "warned" verbally, and banned from all Officers Club and Zara clothes stores on the planet...
But that's about it.

Which doesn't even matter, since the chances of someone browsing through their photo's for me whilst im shopping there are - 1000.

Tom4784 29-12-2007 05:34 PM

Neither on both accounts, I'm a good(ish) boy!

Oxymoron 29-12-2007 05:35 PM

i was banned from tescos for staring at a checkout person (i was dared)

Sarah. 29-12-2007 05:36 PM

No, I'm never bad =D

LOL
That's one of the funniest things ive ever heard, and no im not easily amused.

"I dare you to stare at that checkout person."

There's a one liner if ever I saw it. How strange.

Nicola 29-12-2007 06:28 PM

Never, I wouldn't be able to handle it if I was arrested as I'd just burst into tears on the spot!

BigSister 29-12-2007 07:37 PM

no i have never been arrested or questioned but if i was like nicola i would probably just panic like crazy or start to cry

Your friends sound cool

Gemmer-x 29-12-2007 08:15 PM

Nopedy :)

Sticks 29-12-2007 08:19 PM

I resent the implication that just because I was questioned by the police I was doing something wrong. Everyone on the floors above an below the flat where the suspicious death occurred was questioned. I never knew the people involved and knew nothing about the case.

Why am I being labelled as doing something wrong, which is what the OP implies.

I no it was a bit over the top

Lauren 29-12-2007 08:28 PM

I had to go to a police station at 10pm cos my friends phone had been knicked and was used in a fraud case. I was in the kitchen with her when the burgular entered so I had to give a statement. Exciting stuff.

Urm... my friend was arrested and kept in a cell overnight for peeing on Tesco!

Captain.Remy 30-12-2007 09:35 AM

Once we were drunk in the street and I hadn't my ID and cops were coming and questioned us about what we were doing and how old we were. We really thought we were going to go to the police office. Fortunatly we talked properly lol

Sunny_01 30-12-2007 04:15 PM

was arrested when I was 15 for assault! never got to court as it was not really an assault more a fight between 2 teenage girls that got out of hand.

I have been questioned on several occasions, most recently when my husband was attacked.

I agree with Sticks, maybe the opening post could be worded differently to reflect that not everyone who is questioned by police is a guilty person.

jonleetribute 30-12-2007 06:13 PM

we go around eggin and everything but never get caught

Dr43%er 31-12-2007 10:19 AM

About 4 years ago I was coming home from a club. It was about 3am. As I got close to my flat I could see that a shop on the other side of the road was well ablaze. I sat down on a wall near by to watch what was going on. A copper came up to ask what i had seen, so I pointed out I had just got there. We chatted for a bit and he took my name and address "just as a procedure" Anyway, I went home and to bed.

At 4:30am I woke up to a loud banging on the door. I got up and answered the door. Stood there were 4 coppers. 2 male, 2 female. They pretty much invited themselves in. They then start asking me my movements for the entire night. Where had I been, who with and for how long. I asked them what it was about but they would not tell me. So there I am sat in my lounge just in my pants being questioned about something, but not knowing what.

I ask if i can get dressed and they say yes. A female copper follows me to my bedroom and as i pick up some clothes she asks me if they were the ones i had been wearing that night. When i say yes she takes them off me saying they could be evidence so i can't have them. Now I am ******** it. I now start demanding to know what this is about. Has there been an assault, murder, rape and they think I did it?

At this point one of the coppers starts to read me my rights but is stopped by another one. I demand that he carries on as then they will have to tell me why they are arresting me. He won't, but instead starts going on about my Hi-Fi and how it looks "very expensive." I point out that's because it is, I let him know the value of around £5000 and tell him I worked hard for it and I have receipts before he makes any more comments.

Anyway, after about 40 mins they get a call on the radio saying i have been found on the CCTV and i am in the clear. As they start to go I as again ask what it was about. It turns out they thought I had started the fire. No apologies from them as they left.

The worst bit was not knowing what they thought I had done.

Sticks 31-12-2007 03:34 PM

Did they still take your clothes?

supernoodles! 01-01-2008 01:39 PM

once when i was about 12 i was sitting on the top of a park bench instead of sitting on the seat and a policeman told me to get down and i said there is no law saying you must sit on a park bench in a certain manner and he told me there was:shrug:in the end i got down
hardcore rebel i am lol
oh and once me and my bf were arguing outside a pub and this copper came over to stick his nose in but apart from that nothing lol.

Dr43%er 02-01-2008 12:42 PM

"Did they still take your clothes?"

No, they just got the radio call and left. They would have had to arrest me to take anything.

bonnie43uk 04-01-2008 08:17 PM

I was arrested for stealing a packet of Hob Nobs from Somerfield in 1985, and spent 12 years in prison. Suffice to say, on my release in 1997 i have learnt my lesson, and have never stolen anything ever again. Crime does not pay.
