90 Day Jane [A Hoax]
http://90dayjane.blogspot.com/
Basically, if you cba to click the link, this girl [who wishes to remain anonymous for obvious legal/emo reasons] plans to commit suicide in 90 [now 84] days. This is her blog as she does it. It makes pretty sinister reading, and is quite strange. But is it genuine, or just a shameless bit of attention-seeking? Thoughts? |
The thing with Internet is that we can't know if it's true or not. That upsets me lol
|
I really do hate attention-seekers.
|
omg that was really horrible.
|
Its a shame she feels this way. To end her life.
|
Omg that was a horrible to read.
|
If she want to kill herself then why advertise it on the internet. This is some sad assed attention seeking. I note that every day of her blog is devoted to yet another detail of the 'big day'.
I think I'll reply and tell her that the exhaust pipe into the car is still the best method. |

I know I shouldn't laugh at this but when she said "Went shopping this morning for a dress to wear on the "big day"." It just made me laugh.
|
I do actually believe she's pretty genuine with this. The reason I believe she's displayed her final days on the net is for some sort of "diary", so that people can look back on it, or one day find it (before her blog became quite huge). That's how I understood it from what she said.

This is really upsetting. But I believe it to be genuine, the one question I want to know is why does she want to end her life?
|
I think its genuine too but I also think its a case of incredible attention seeking. Just imagine how upsetting it will be for her family to find out that she's planning this and then to find out that she wants to share it with the rest of the world.
|
I believe it's genuine too, it will be interesting reading for the next 85 days.
But then again it just looks like she is an attention seeker, it's wrong if she isn't real about doing it |
I was reading through this last night and I don't think its real. Its not been thought out well and shes even addressed that herself. She claims to have no mental issues such as depression and just decided that she will do it. A lot of people who have threatened suicide haven't gone through with it. She will probably log off after 90 days and thats it. We are expected to believe she did it. The fact she finds the attention ***** picture funny speaks in volumes.
|
Bit pathetic If you ask me.
|
It seems the blogger site has deleted it. How...authoritarian.

It's not genuine. When feeling suicidal you feel like a recluse, you want no-one to know your weakness at life and you exhaust all options of happiness.
I wish someone would do the job for her before her 90 days is up, she makes a mockery of people with genuine problems. |
If she was that genuine, surely you couldn't stand to wait for 90 days.
|
its gone!
does anybody know where i can find the posts? |
Im not sure, i believe it.

thanks for that. wow that was freaky!

|
I think I'll throw her a rope on this one...

That has got to be the sickest thing Ive ever come across. Like Lauren said, this only take attention away from the truly suicidal patients.

She said she'll kill herself, she isn't... hoax :) |
Wow, how *****ing artistic...
Shouldn't she just learn to paint instead? |
LOL. Agreed.
|
Attention *****.

its true, she is such an attention seeker. how sick is this bitch! |
How sad

Shouldn't people be happy this girl isn't committing suicide? Reading some of the comments on her blog it seems as if they actually wanted her to do it.
|
I don't know about the comments on the blog. I just think that people are a bit disgusted that she would use such a subject to get attention (and no matter what she claims, she is doing it to get attention). I wonder how people whose lives have actually been affected by suicide feel about her little project?

But how they feel about the project IS the art in it. You guys may not see it as art, but it is, it's an artistic study of mankind. If she was doing it for attention, she'd let us know who she is, she'd accept the offers that have been given by television studios or whatever, but she's not. We all are the art piece every time we comment here, or on the blog, or any time we give a reaction to this - therefore it was a very successful art project. |
Well, I see what you are saying, but I don't agree. She has got people talking about her, and I could be entirely wrong, but I bet she is rubbing her hand in glee at all the attention she has got. I don't think she would reveal her identity - it would take away the mystery, and also, considering how many people think that what she is doing is morally questionable, she would receive a real backlash. She is getting a backlash as it is, but as most people do not know who she is, she is 'safe' at the moment. It's like people who cause trouble on an internet forum, just to gain attention; we don't know who they are either, but they get the attention they crave, all the same.
I just think it's very distasteful, is all. |
Can I just add - I never said it wasn't art. As far as I'm concerned, art is what you want it to be, so while this isn't art for me, to someone else, it may be very artistic. But some subjects of art are very distasteful, and I feel that this is one of them. Art or not, it's just distasteful.
I suspect many of the negative comments on the blog stem from the fact that people believed she was a phoney all along. |

In a sense, of course she's happy that she got attention - she did want attention, but not for attention-seeking purposes, it was all in order to gauge a reaction. I just think everyone should realize that there was a point to it, it wasn't just a mindless hoax. |
