New moderator position available at TiBB
 

Hello,

With traffic being high this year and a lot of activity on the forum, we have decided to look for another moderator, to assist us keeping the boards efficient. In the last year or so we have had LOTS of people asking for a moderator position, and we have had to turn them down as we weren't looking.

Well the good news is we are currently looking an active moderator, and have decided to make this thread to see who is interested. The mods and admin can then look at everyones application, and decide who we think would be suitable for the position. Before we tell you how you can apply, here are a few things that we would be looking for you to do:

1) Closing of duplicate threads, and merging where possible
2) Making sure posts abide by the forum rules, and dealing with them where possible.
3) Moving threads if they are put in the wrong forum
4) Issuing warnings where extreme cases of rule breaking has taken place

We are looking for someone who can remain fairly neutral in heated discussion, as well as someone who is active on the boards, and wouldn't mind helping it stay in shape.

Moderators are able to edit, delete, clone, top, merge and copy threads. They can also issue warnings to members.

There is no benefit in having a high post count or by being a long time member, we will look over every application in regards to who we think will be suited to the position the best. As a lot of people will have similar applications, when you apply if you could answer this quick questionnaire it would be helpful. In each case imagine you are a moderator.

1) Member A has created a live show thread at 5pm, it has 2 replies. Member B has created the exact same live show thread at 6pm, and it has 28 replies. What would you do?

2) A member posts the following "lke yea dat waz a prtty cool evicton, i rly wnted her to go!!!!!!!!" What would you do?

3) A member tells another member to ******* off. What would you do?

4) A member posted a topic titled "WHO DO YOU WANT TO WIN BIG BROTHER 9????" and puts it in General Chat. In the message he writes POST IN THIS THREAD WHO YOU WANT TO WIN BIG BROTHER, AND WE CAN SEE WHO HAS THE MOST VOTES. What would you do?

5) Someone creates a thread in the Big Brother 9 forum with a link to their Big Brother website. What would you do?

I'd have loved to have been a mod, but I swear too much and couldn't possibly stay neutral in debates, so I'd be a bad example.

I would apply but I have completely the wrong personality to be a mod. I think the shortlist would be Sticks, Ash, Dan_ and Big Sister. I hope one of them gets it.
