TiBB Apprentice 2008: Applications Thread (Closed, Update)

TIBB DOES THE APPRENTICE IS BACK!

It was one of the most popular TiBB reality shows to take place last year, and now TiBB Apprentice is back for a second run.

In September, a number of contestants (to be confirmed) will compete in a number of tasks to win a virtual job* at TiBB Towers, the behind-the-scenes area of TiBB where the moderators run the forum.

Forum admin James, and his associates, will be doing the hiring and firing - but the forum public will get some input too.

*Note that the winner will not actually win a job on TiBB, this is a just-for-fun game

WE NEED YOU!

If you would like to take part in the new series of TiBB Apprentice, then you can now apply for the show.

All you have to do to apply is reply to this thread, clearly stating that you are interested in becoming a contestant. Alternatively, you can U2U me (Matt) to register your interest. (If you choose to U2U me, please make the subject of the U2U 'TiBB Apprentice Application' so I can differentiate it from other U2Us.)

Applicants will need to be available for up to three weeks in September to take part in themed forum-based tasks. Candidates are not required to provide pictures of themselves.

Ex-contestants may not apply.

Applications are open until further notice, so what are you waiting for? Apply today!

I won't be hosting this series because of lack of time but I know Matt will make a great successor. However, i hosted the first and know it was fun to present and watch. I really suggest you apply as it is a great game, what have you got to lose?

Oooh I'd love to do this but I'm starting uni in late September/early October.

How long is it on for?

edit:If its just 3 weeks,I'll apply!(I just re-read)

Emilee 11-06-2008 07:54 PM

What type of tasks is it??

I would apply, but the problem is i do have a life outside of Tibb, and if its like "All contestants must be online at 8pm tonight" it might not work for me, so maybe i won't sign up.

Generally, they're all forum based - tasks last year included coming up with new features for the forum, starting popular sections on the forum and designing team identities.

There may be some instances where we need contestants online (live shows etc.), but generally the tasks span two or three days so you can come and go as you please.

Emilee 11-06-2008 08:16 PM

Okay. I'll apply!

Basically, it's a light-hearted game for the Big Brother off season which sees a number of members take part in a number of tasks over a set amount of time. The contestants are split into two teams.

They are competing for a virtual job at TiBB Towers (but it is a virtual job, so there is actually no job to be won).

These tasks are forum-based. Tasks from the last series included designing a team identity and creating popular sections on the forum.

At the end of every task, the losing team are called into 'The Boardroom', where forum admin James fires a contestant. At the end of the series a winner is picked.

As with most of the games on the forum, there is no real prize, but last year's winner (me, by coincedence ) recieved a TiBB Award and 5 positive karma.

Ross 14-06-2008 12:22 AM

Is it too late to sign up?

Is it a problem if I work 5 days a week.. and usually finish around 7pm? x

Matt 14-06-2008 06:09 PM

Nope it's not

I don't think it's a problem, but if anything changes I'll let you know :spin:

GhettoSuperstar 16-06-2008 08:15 PM

I'm sure I have applied for this! :cat:

MrGaryy 16-06-2008 08:18 PM

How do I apply?

MrGaryy 16-06-2008 08:19 PM

Never mind!

I'd like to apply please!

Matt 16-06-2008 08:34 PM

Thank you for applying :)

I would like it if more girls could apply - not that being male puts you at a disadvantage, but I'd like to have an equal gender balance in the final line up :spin2:

MrGaryy 16-06-2008 08:37 PM

I can change my gender on the control panel if it helps, lol!

AngRemembered 16-06-2008 08:38 PM

Yeah, count me in it's about time someone over 44 got a chance at something ...lol

Sam1994 17-06-2008 04:17 PM
