Mistaking guys for girls/vice-versa
 

In a forum, it's easy to misconstrue (ooh, where'd that word come from at this time of the morning)someone's gender.

Even from pictures it can sometimes be confusing.

But what about in person? Have you ever met someone who you really weren't sure whether were a guy or a girl, or worse assumed for a long time it was one and it turned out to be the other?

I suppose if you were ever to meet a transvestite that's understandable, but what I'm referring to is the type of people in the unisex style/clothing range who could pass off as a member of the other sex without trying. Like emos.

I am CONSTANLY getting mistaken for a girl! I've come to terms with it butit's very embarrasing when I'm with friends and someone say like "Hi girls"

All the time, its so bad. You often find it happening when you hang out in the Gay village in manchester... the lesbians there are more masculine than i will ever be!

Not in person but when I first saw that guy up there I thought she was gorgeous and when I learned that her name was Billy, I was like, what a unique name for a girl. Then I learned that she was actually a he.

Thats Billy from a band named Tokio Hotel by the way

There was this thing in 6th form, and for all the years (ok only 2 of them) that I was there - I never quite knew which gender they belonged to.

I have never been mistaken for the opposite sex.
I hav eon this forum but that was before they saw a pic haha

There is a lesbian couple who live across the road from me. One is butch, the other isn't. The butch one looks like a really feminine man if that makes any sense and I always thought it was just a normal male/female couple until one summer when they were sat in the garden with their bikini's on ...

Well on the forum i'm mistaken for a girl a LOT.

But I don't think I've ever been mistaken for a girl in real life. But I did have a dodgy looking girlfriend once and I got stange looks from people everywhere I went.

i have been to the toilet in college before and when i came out the cubicle there was someone standing at the sinks and i thought it was a guy and thought cr** i just went in the guys toilets!... then i realised it was a girl

Standing at the sinks should have given it away. Men don't wash their hands after they pee. haha

I have mistaken a girl for a boy.
I was in school and the new year 7's were running around and one bumped into me, it was girl wearing her trousers low, boys pants, manish face, and kept starring at my women parts!!!!! :yuk:
