....is there any point of so many games on here?


Firstly, in games which require skill/talent people vote usually for their friends (even if they performed the worst). Which strikes me as somewhat pointless sometimes. (and no i'm not on about BOTS, I mean actual skill/performance games :tongue: )


Secondly, it gets so confusing with so many running at the same time, 2/3 are ok, but more than that is silly.

Yeah I'm the same as Nickyy, I only really look at those which interest me. I think beyond things like the X Factor/Pop Idol types, where you can participate properly; and things like BOTS & Elimination which are well organised and popular; there isn't much need for these games.

However, that's not to say I think we ought to get rid of them, because the people that organise them put a lot of thought and effort into them. I just think it'd be better if they were toned down a little bit.

I think all the games people really want to see should have a sub-folder or we shouldwhen we enter the games section enter into a box which game we want and the thread with the game comes up.

Quite a few of the games that are going on at the moment haven't had any permission from the admins I think, however I have gained permission for TiBB Idol and I expect Arneldo has got permission to run NTM. Why can't we go back to needing permission to limit how many games can go on at one time?

Yes there it has gone a bit over board however I think some people are taking it a bit too seriously. I mean you don't have to look at the thread if you don't want to and most of them are only in one big thread anyway!

what bugs me is the people who u2u me saying would you like to take part errmmmm no if i did i would :joker: but yeah the games have gone a bit crazy last couple of weeks

I agree there is way too many at the moment. I think we only need room for the well run ones.

I agree. I spoke to James about Elimination 2, waiting for response. There just suddenly seemed like so many games appeared in one day.

We need like a shedule thread for the games so we don't have too many at one time or any shitty ones

I think a lot of the new ones will end up being cancelled anyway because not many people will bother voting on the eliminations.

I agree, almost like a TV guide except with dates instead of times. That way we can enjoy them all live and it will stop traffic.

I really like that idea. There is way too many games on here at the moment, some people just make them for the sake of it I think, like an idea for a game pops into their head and they decided to start it. I don't mind the ones which are run properly and people apply for permisson and puts lots of effort into them (i.e. Arneldo - NTM, Matt08 - TiBB Idol, Matt - Apprentice, Sam - e-Love Affair, Rory - The Mole/Village) but some of them for example TiBB's When Woman Ruled the World, I just think is there any need for them?

I agree. I like BOTS, NTM, TiBB Idol, Elimination, The Mole.


But some games are so confusing. and no thought placed into them.
Games need to be well thought through and organised to make them worthwhile being on here, not thought of there and then.

A similar thing happened last year (and came to a head with the infamous TiBB TV) there are a few good games about though

NTM, Tibb Idol, E-LoveAffair, Elimination, BBBOTS, The Mole, The Village and maybe a couple more should stay :) haha.

There;s not and they aren't very well run or even well written.

Oh and not to be pedantic but didn't Rory actually state himself that he didn't ask for permission?

All the games are played by the same people anyway, so its a bit pointless

Oh I never knew that. I guess at times it's acceptable, you can tell Rory puts a lot of effort into his games, and I'm sure if he'd have asked for permission James would have allowed it to go ahead.

Like Scampi said though, I really think a sticky thread is needed for a schedule for TiBB games.

I do agree that a schedule is needed but I think the main problem is that alot of people would like to host a game themselves.

Also the fact that some people don't ask the admin is a bit rude IMO. =\

Though I'd give it a go, might not work in the long run but I'll see how it works for now.

I kind of agree, we do have to many, but it seems the older members get all the games, and the new ones from this year are kind of shunned for it.

I asked for permission three times since November '07 and didn't get a response.

The only difference between the ones you mentioned are that they are run by "popular" members of TiBB, so I don't get why other members can't have a go? Who is to say that WWRTW hasn't been thought out properly?

As Rory said I asked permission on countless of times for my contest, and I didn't get a reply. It would be better if Mods did reply because then there wouldn't be so many games.

Mods never reply to anything tbh.
I've requested a username 20 times and still no reply, but yet they read the u2u but won't reply.
