do you buy a poppy?
 

as the title says

both me and my 3 yr old now have poppys from the man outside tesco i have also in the past taken part with the brownies in the rememberance sunday service/march

I put money in I just don't wear them

I have before, but not in a while.

I usually get one, i wear it for about 2 hours then I lose it... the pins never stay on for me, and they always fall off.

They normally take those rubbish plastic ones round our school, that you can't even pin to yourself, but I always do, yeah.

No, I don't believe in buying or wearing them

They usually come round at school and i end up buying myself and most of my friends poppys too. My mum and dad also wear them!

A old women just came round to see if I wanted one, I gave her 10p, ah well at least I got a poppy. ^_^

I always buy one and wear it - But I aint one of these people that will wear it for a week before hand. Just the one day.

No. I understand completely what they're about, and completely respect the cause, I just don't see how pinning a paper flower to me is 'showing respect' to be fair.

I buy a poppy out of respect for my Great-Great-Grandad and everyone else who lost their life in any war...

Fair enough - what about the money that they make from selling the poppies?

I see people wearing them but can not see where they are on sale.

I avoid supermarkets like the plague and shop at the market or in local shops :blush:

I bought one 3 days ago.

A woman came to my door and sold me one! I always buy one. People died for our freedom!

Our works have just got them in, but I need to wait until Friday (Pay day) before I can get one :sad:

Poppies are an honour of respect and I believe everyone should wear one, at least on the day...

Most charity shops sell them, I always support the poppy appeal and have done so this year its a truly great cause:thumbs:

Do some people still think they are glorifying war?

I did wonder with the war against terror, some might see it as related to that, even though it predates it by several decades :bored:
