LEE 25-05-2002 01:46 PM

I like Sandy.

I think that his personality will begin to show through more as the weeks go on.

I think he should definitely stay.

:flower:

monie 25-05-2002 01:49 PM

I dont think he is boring I think he is possibly feeling a little more vunerable than the rest as he is a lot older and isl different, so why vote himout, just because he is not playing up to the cameras like most of the others give him a chance. :elephant::dance:

LEE 25-05-2002 01:51 PM

I 100% agree monie.

:flower:

Ig 25-05-2002 02:07 PM

Me too! Give him a chance, he looks a laugh, and he looks like he feels a bit like a fish out of water at the moment.:nono:

Mairi 25-05-2002 02:36 PM

I liked Sandy from the start.

I think he will provide a lot of laughs.

:joker::hello::joker:

steve_o 25-05-2002 03:43 PM

Yep, and he's done some baking as well.:thumbs:

:hello:

:spin:

sweetlittlesara 25-05-2002 04:21 PM

No keep him in, he could be quite funny even tho he is the oldest, he doesnt seem as boring as elizabeth was last year.

Glitter_babe 25-05-2002 04:32 PM

Awwwwwwww!

How could you???

I like Sandy, I think he seems like a loveable chappy! :spin::colour:

BigSister 25-05-2002 04:35 PM

Sara nobody could be as bad as elizabeth

I personaly dont like Sandy but as time goes on you never know, after all its ony the 2nd day

:elephant::elephant::elephant:

bananarama 25-05-2002 06:37 PM

Ok i am going against the flow! But I agree with mcginn he is just too ???
In fairness I won't decide till the end of the week but he is the most likely choice that I would vote out. Not that I don't like him. He just reminds me of a tourist on holiday hoping to grab a deckchair. :hugesmile::hugesmile:

LEE 25-05-2002 06:57 PM

Its been bugging me all day trying to work out who Sandy reminded me of and I've just realised.

Dave Stewart - Eurythmics.

:flower:

mercerm 26-05-2002 12:28 PM

The bloke killed a stag and thinks he's clever. Get rid of him.

Janette 26-05-2002 07:30 PM

I like him!

He cooks, he cleans, he has a laugh with the other housemates!

Go Sandy :dance:

kaphc 26-05-2002 07:35 PM

He has great taste in kilts and I liked his jumper on Friday night.

I think he should stay. He will be good for the rest of the group, a bit of a calming influence.

Sticks 28-05-2002 06:32 PM

With the reports in the press regarding Sandy's daughter, (See This link for earlier post), I have had to come to the opinion that Sandy, not Jade should exit on Friday.

Assuming reports from Sandy's former wife are accurate, then Sandy's appearence on BB is causing her distress. The reduce Harm therefore Sandy should leave

Assuming the reports are exaggerated etc., then Sandy's reputation is suffering. He therefore needs to leave so this matter should be cleared up, and his side is heard.

Either which side you take up, Sandy needs to leave and sort the matter out.

I have tried to be neutral but harm minnimisation is the objective here.

Vote to nominate Sandy on 09011 15 44 05

Amy 28-05-2002 07:01 PM

I have to say i don't agree with the reports about his daughter but you never can tell with the papers and i still think he's ok :spin:

Princess Pink Pants 28-05-2002 07:05 PM

I know you cant believe what you read in the papers, but I still feel its a bit off that he's saying how much he doesnt want kids and not being very nice about them, when he has a daughter!

She's a teenager as well, what a great age to emotionally scar sum1 Sandy!!

steve_o 28-05-2002 07:45 PM

Let's get rid of Sandy, I mean what man like shopping for God' Sake and shopping for women as well, blimey:shocked: for a living. Yes let's see Sandy's legs walking up the stairs and out.:laugh::thumbs:

:bouncy:

:spin2::spin2::spin2:

Oldgit 03-06-2002 08:32 AM

Sandy has to go. His reaction to Jade's attempt to reconcile the warring factions was sarcastic and nasty.

I thought he was funny earlier, but now I think he is a nasty piece of work. :mad:

peachy 03-06-2002 12:14 PM

I haven't cared for him much from the start. Cold and unfeeling just about describes him. I think he's playing a clever game and I'd like to see him out. If he did leave and Alex stays in, I think Alex will go round the bend, because Sandy is his only buddy.

Anyway, Sandy thinks nominations are fun, so let's all hope he gets nominated. Then he can have a really fun time. :xyxwave:

Amy 03-06-2002 03:49 PM

Well said peachy!!! agree 100%

:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

:bouncy::bouncy:

LEE 03-06-2002 04:51 PM

Well I disagree 100% :spin2:

James 03-06-2002 07:51 PM

I reckon he's just a fish out of water. A 43-year old man surrounded by 'Ibiza Kids.'

Yeah, he has a strategy, but so do a lot of them this year, I think. At least he's honest enough to admit it.

Oldgit 05-06-2002 07:57 PM

Sandy doesn't like anyone in the group and he is using Alex as a pawn to get at other group members so it doesn't come back on him. I think Jonny is getting close to rumbling him!

avriljayne 06-06-2002 07:13 PM

I think that if Sandy was as mature as he would like to have us believe then he would have actually tried to reason with Alex that Alex is over reacting and needs to chill. Instead he gives the impression to Alex that his behaviour is always justified. Today he remarked again about Jade being a double agent ( a point that I agree with).
Why not use his 'maturity' to talk unconfrontationally with her about it?
I now perceive that he has no intentions of trying to bond with the group which is a great shame as it will possibly not persuade BB to entertain the thought of selecting anyone over 40 again - unless perhaps they dream up a 35 years+ BB.

Now that could be interesting..

Kaz 06-06-2002 08:24 PM

You're absolutely right, avriljayne. Sandy is a terrible advert for putting older contestants into the BB house. He makes little or no effort to join in with most of the activities, preferring to sit outside on his own or go to bed at an incredibly early hour. Sometimes you'd think he was in his 70s, not his 40s! :spin2:

He must go on Friday! :colour: :laugh: :colour:

LEE 06-06-2002 08:26 PM

I'm not going to be drawn into this one girls :laugh:

Sandy will be there next week. I'm sure it will either be Alison or Alex who goes. Hopefully Alex.

:flower:

blinkinlovely 06-06-2002 08:34 PM

Me neither Lee!!!! I just hope that I have a 'younger' outlook than him!!

Perhaps I do - I'm still logging onto this site arn't !:joker::joker::joker::joker:

Kaz 06-06-2002 09:01 PM

But that's exactly the point I'm trying to make, blinkinlovely! :laugh:

Speaking as someone in the same general age bracket as Sandy, I'd like to think that I have a much younger outlook on life than he does! :dance:

He's definitely a bad advert for putting older contestants in the BB house.

Oldgit 06-06-2002 10:31 PM

I am five years older than Sandy (so now you know). I know I physically could not keep up with the likes of Alison, Jonny, Jade and Kate, so I would not even apply for Big Brother. However if I were fitter (not necessarily younger) and I was in there, I'd be determined to show them, just like your mum and dad used to embarrass you at your 16th Birthday!

But my gripe with Sandy is not that, it is his evil conniving, using the village idiot Alex as a pawn (I mean Jade might be uneducated but even she has more nous than him) to upset the other housemates. I cannot believe that anyone wants him there! Not unless they see some boring old git walking round in circles in a swimming pool as entertainment!

Oh, and remember, he likes blood sports and shoots animals for pleasure.

Sandy or Alex to go, I don't care as long as it is one of them, the other would really have to suffer if they stayed.

splodge0 06-06-2002 10:53 PM

I just love listening to Sandy enjoying his time in the pool...........

Sets me up for the day.......Kinda like swimming by proxy:colour:

LEE 06-06-2002 10:56 PM

And they did say on RI:SE that Sandy couldn't go as he's the only one who gets up early and they'd have no-one to watch. :laugh:

They changed their minds yesterday, as they wanted Alex to stay, and as Alison mentioned RI:SE on BB3 they want her to stay in as well.
