Said it all along since her audition (apart from the week where I thought Laura would :joker:) but most didn't believe me, wait and see and bump this thread in 4 weeks time when Alexandra has been crowned winner of X Factor 2008 :wink:

Anyway, Alex is the best singer, I've started to like her alot more the last two weeks.

I realllllllly dont think she will :/

If it was a talent show then Alexandra should win it by miles, but it isn't so she won't make the final.

I think its totally unpredictable. It could be Diana, JLS, Eoghan, Alexandra or Ruth that wins, it could even be Rachel winning.

alex will just fade in the charts because she will just do very similar music to artist already in the charts!

She doesn't have the public support, shes been in the bottom two twice. To win you probably need over 1 million on the X Factor.

I don't recall an X Factor that's been so unpredictable - Rachel and Ruth have now both been in the bottom two twice. If this series follows the trend - last week will be the last time the judges have a say, and it'll be entirely based on public vote.

If next week is Rachel vs Ruth (which I strongly suspect it will be) then I think Ruth will go through, people will get behind her once again, and she could finish 4th potentially.

not necessarily.obviously Leonas music isnt unique but their isnt any major artist around who has similar music.if Alexandra wins i can imagine her album being exactly like Leonas,which could lead to her flopping..

The more she has sung, the more I have grown to dislike her. I'm not won over by her little girl voice and face anymore, all I hear is someone that can go on and off of key on every note.

Cowell, actually said something interesting once, if you close your eyes and you listen to someone sing, then it's like listening to them on the radio and if their voice doesn't do it then they are not as good as the seem.

If I close my eyes when I listen to Diana, I find I want to turn the radio off.

So yes I have changed and she is past her sell by date.

As much as I love Ruth I don't think she'll win. Sadly she'll be gone in the next 2 weeks :sad:

1 million?well Leona needed 5 million to win XF!i know she hasnt got huge support but she will survive any bottom 2 situation until its straigh forward vote-eliminations,but by that time alot of left-over fans will be voting for Ruth.if she makes the final she will win IMO.

Multi voters. They said over 8m voted for the series 3 final but that doesn't mean 8m people. If that was 60/40 Leona would have needed about 5m votes to win, she may well have only had 2m fans who all voted 2 or 3 times for her.

Not as many people vote now, its probably not even breaking the 1m barrier yet.

rachel + ruth are amazing singers and they will survive sing offs.....and by the time when it gets closer to the final, votes from fan's of other contestants would go to them, not sure if they can beat diana, but would likely beat alexandra and take second place!

but if rachel/ruth rachel might go!

How is it possible to say her music isn't unique and then major artist around who has similar music, It's either unique or not?

Any if it's not unique what is stopping Alex having any success.

no,sorry what i mean is there isnt any identical artist(music-wise) to Leona...Mariah has the big voice and everything but nowadays all she does is hip-hop which Leona doesnt.i can imagine Alexandras music(if she does win) being indentical to Leonas.

I would see going down Mariah route rather than Leona. Okay, she will never be as big as Mariah, who could be, but Mariah is pass her best as a singer as we saw on the X-factor last week when she sang live.

What Alex will need is songs that will make her different, sound original, lots of marketing and press coverage.

It works for Britney Spears, people worship her on here.....

mariah was a succes, but look, what she does now is not the same as she did before which was amazing, she just clings on to making rnb/hip hop and all that which just sound like the rest of other artist doing the same!

leonna would sound like leonna and her very voice would be recognizable so its not sounding like just another artist

alxendra is heading in a mariah rout (in a small scale) but thats if she wins of course
