Dianas exit - most emotional ever?
 

Up until last night I would have said that the crown belonged to Brenda (and I didnt even like her), but after last night I really think that has to be one of the most poignant moments in X Factor history.

Everything down to the song choice was so iconic, the words to the song, and the way Diana struggled to sing through it at the beginning, until Eoghan and co came on to comfort her.

Even Simon looked as though he was gonna cry haha, but yeah, I really do think that has to be one of the most amazing and emotional exits ever, and even Diana's first performance of White Flag was so iconic, it was like she knew she was going all night, but made a point.

Love her or hate her, she left the contest with grace and dignity, no sour grapes, no nothing, just grateful for the opportunity she was given and I for one can't wait to see what happens next.

I'd say Brenda & Maria fight for second place though.

I agree with all of that, and Diana herself said she knew she was going last night, though she didn't deserve to go

Well for me Ruths was the most emotional but theres no denying Diana had an emotional exit

I was angry that Diana was going, but didn't see it as emotional - then Eoghan ran onto the stage.

Yeah it was, I think next week will be much more emotional though. Especially if Alexandra wins.

omg it still makes me cry watching it and the backing music suits like the hugging haha its like something of a film! and cheryls face when everyones hugging diana is sad too aw :hug:

I admit, I didn't like Diana. Yes, her singing was amazing but I just never 'clicked' with her personality and thought it was all a bit fake.

But I have to say, last night was emotional and I did feel sorry for her, the song suited her 100% and it was kind of sad when Eoghan ran up to her.

it was soo emotional! i was crying coz eoghan got through and cryin coz diana went. i didnt want any of them to go. but yepp it was probs the most emotional eveer!

I didn't like Diana that much but it was very emotional mainly because of Eoghan

he didnt ruin it it woulnt of been sad if he hadnt of ran on.. and she had basically finished anyway and the others ran on too , i thought it was the cutest them all in a big group hug

I'd argue Laura's exit this series was just as emotional - Ruth started crying and apologising for something that was out of her control, meanwhile Laura just looked numb. I think the Xtra Factor interview with Laura afterwards was the really emotional bit though, when she was saying how she'd come so close once again and had failed etc. Poor girl. I didn't really find Diana's that emotional to be honest, I'm not a fan of Eoghan and I thought it was a bit inconsiderate of him to interrupt her singing :laugh:.

It was a very sad night.
I was gutted. But I hope Diana will get signed and i hope he will see much more of her.!!! :)

I was already crying before they even said her name because I watched it on Sunday and knew she was gone. But then Eoghan started crying and with all the hugging,god I was a mess.

Definitely most emotional ever.

She done white flag so so well. It was rather emotional. But when it came to Laura V Ruth. I Was sure Ruth was going. And was in tears throughout Knockin' on heavens door. Haa Not good.
But ahhhhh , it was emotional.

When Eoghan ran onto the stage it was like something like one of those cheesy love movies lol.

I thought it was a total mess. For god sake.. it's a talent show, not an execution. She's not going to the gallows, she's only going back to Blackburn :rolleyes:

Maybe I'm just a cold-hearted bitch, but I was not moved by it at all.

So they can't be sad to see someone go, okay then...
