Nor did I. But everyone was saying it was fake so I understand kinda why he did it.

He probably would have had to keep it quiet so that other companies couldn't get in on it.

Ah yeah, that's true. I saw the advert the other night and was sure he didn't film it. I'm sure he gave birth ages ago now? He's pregnant again too. It's taken them ages to air it.

You're keeping them to yourself just because they're different?
Humans would be so boring if we all thought the same.

My opinions seem different than everyone elses too.
At the moment; I don't see the issue with it. If (s)he is going to be a good mother, and nurture the baby - then it's brilliant. (S)he is probably going to be a better mother to the child than most "normal" mothers are.

However; I do understand the child might get bullied in later life. That's an issue with society, not the parent, though.

*(I said (s)he because I'm not entirely sure what the person in question likes being referred to).

thats how i feel and also the fact he didnt have a full change was because his partner couldnt have babies, yes the child may be bullied but kids pick on anything and i think they will be loving and caring parents to the child

pinkmichk 12-12-2008 01:22 PM

i watched it still stand by that i think they will make a fab family but really felt for them listening to some of the hate videos etc that people had done

What annoys me about it is how people call her the world's first pregnant man. No if you've still got the plumbing you're a girl no matter which way you cut it, at best an hermesaphrodite.

As for the child itself, as long as the home and parents are loving and raise the child well then what's the problem.

hannah. 12-12-2008 03:06 PM

if im totally honest i think that the people who are like OMG EURGH THATS RANK need to wiki it or something. biologically hes a woman who took testosterone and had an anti-boob job.
so biologically he is the mother.
its not that much of a big deal, there's still a fanny [and all the stuff that comes with it] there.

dean, it's "he". politically correctly [my grammar is clearly fantastic], you call the person whatever they are aspiring to be. so if a woman is turning into a man/dressing like one, you call them he
and if a man is going through the changes to be a woman/dressing like one, you call them she.
although tbf it depends on the person's preference

LMAO.. I thought that was fanny, and all the bits that come with it

needless wolf whistles when you bend over, thongs, knickers, legins, tampons and waxing cream,,, yep they are all what you call incidental fanny additions :laugh3:

hannah. 12-12-2008 03:17 PM

hahaha angie you know what i meant.
womb etc. omg and period! although.. surely the testosterone would stop that... although surely itd stop him from being able to conceive aswell?
ive puzzled myself now

I think what your trying to say is...

you can take the manhood out of a woman
:shocked::whistle:
but you'll never quite manage to take the woman out of mankind.:laugh3:

I watched it and felt for them. To be honest it's a story on nothing he used to be a female but isn't now and legally is man.

Anyway I don't understand why some people are ewwwww, if you did some rescearch you would relise there is nothing sick about it. Well the people who made hate videos about it might be but thats a different topic.

Also Thomas' (the pregnant man) wife is actually breast feeding the baby as well as she took birth control pills. Something mothers do to share a bond with their child.

The documentary was interesting but was sillyas if they were a couple and adopted they would all say Thomas was the father and his wife (forgot her name) was the mother and there wouldn't be a whole uproar about it. But they've done it differently as Thomas can get pregnant.
I enjoyed the end as that baby was soooo cute.

I know I sound soooo polictally correct but I just find people ignorant people annoying.

agree he did actually say in the program that he is now a male in the eyes of the state he is living in etc and his wife nancy was doing a wonderful thing by taking the tablets in order to feed the baby
