What do you do in it?

I do it, I'm five months into my first year though.
I know Fom does it too though I'm sure he's further into the course than I am.

Currently, we study Drama, Dance/Physical Theatre, Singing, Business and Comms.
We're gonna move into Musical Theatre next year though apparently.

You basically study the different areas of each? Singing, you learn the warm-ups, exercises, perform songs in groups, as a soloist etc. Drama, you cover Naturalism, Shakespeare, famous practitioners like Brecht and Grotowski etc. It's like that.
You keep a log book of everything you do and all your research throughout the course which is part of your grade, as well as the practical.

It's a great course, I thought I'd regret doing it instead of A Levels but it's by far one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Im in year ten taking the GCSE course and it is extremley hard, but withenough comitment you'll piss it and enjoy it.

I do it. It's easily my fave lesson I loveee it! You do singing acting and dancing.
Over the two years you do musical theatre, devising, scripted and something else. I love it! you should do it!

I wouldn't mind if my class was full of hot blonde males but there's only like. 3 other boys and about 15 girls. not good. hahaha.

Do you do Dance.

Mask work. I'm currently on it.

Yep, and we've done Capoirera so far.

We had a choice of specializing in Drama, or specializing in Dance. I chose to specialize in Drama so I only do Dance once a week [whereas the dancers do less acting]. Even then, my Dance is more physical theatre.

Alot of dance.

Do you do solo dancing?

That's our next topic.

I really want to do it but i am lacking confidance.

I wasn't allowed to take it. :sad:

Why?

I don't know, it's hard to explain but the people in our year who were allowed to pick all of their options were given "red sheets" and the people who could only pick 1 out of 3 were given "yellow sheets" and they were the only ones allowed to take it. :sad:

Mambo - They build your confidence massively. I wasn't a very confident singer but I've gotten a lot stronger and don't get as scared performing anymore, although I do still get nervous. Same with acting, we've done so many shows in the past 5 months I'm full of confidence with my ability.

I know! I don't think many people took it though, so it was cancelled. I had to take Drama instead, which to be fair is brilliant, I really enjoy it.

Im about to finish this course so if you want any info just ask me. Ive done pretty much every subject you will do in the course, the only lesson I'm left to complete now is the FMP (Final major project) and that varies each year.
But yeh I know loads about it so any help you want, Im the mannn ;)
