Beware, Heavy Snow going to create chaos in the South!!!

Heard this on the news, my friends and the internet, apparently tomorrow loads of towns will wake up to mad dangerous weather and Surrey is going to be hit the worst (where i live), the news said many schools will be closed, i doubt mine will, even if the school was on fire, we would still go in because my school thinks they are different than every other school in the UK. On the weather website, under Surrey it says "Take Action, Sever Weather Coming"..... anyone think their schools will be closed??

Damaris 01-02-2009 08:08 PM

Well i live in norfolk do you think it will be closed?

I hope so.

Sod_James 01-02-2009 08:10 PM

I hope i dont get snowed in at work. i dont mind being snowed out of work but just as long as im not at work when it really starts to snow.

30stone 01-02-2009 08:10 PM

It could be real fun (=

Though the last time they said this we got like 4 cm... which went within a day )=

I dont like snow and want the weather to be 40 degrees, but taht wont happen eve here. But snow right now is good so people can stay in (free from school and jobs).

Damn, its stopped here in Surrey, hopefully it starts again.

Brekkie 01-02-2009 09:38 PM

When was it that Britain suddenly considered anything more than half an inch of snow "heavy" with the country grounding to a halt at the first sight of a snow flake?

Wildcat! 01-02-2009 11:24 PM

Its a looot here in London already.

Locke. 01-02-2009 11:26 PM

I'm in the North-West, been snowing since before the match today, anyone see how heavy it was During the match?

Anyway, its not really that thick, just about an inch.

*mazedsalv** 02-02-2009 06:22 AM

Its soo heavy here in Surrey, the car tyres are 3/4 full of snow, you can hardly see anything. I think my schools still open, but they are going to get a shock because already ive spoken to many people who arent turning up including me :hello:

*mazedsalv** 02-02-2009 06:44 AM

Here it started at 7pm yesterday

Nicky. 02-02-2009 06:48 AM

Well, I can still see the grass through the snow..

So let's say here there's about.. half an inch to an inch? xD

That's just looking out my window :3

Mum said the road is covered! School buses are still running though

Fom 02-02-2009 06:55 AM

ARGHH! I hate snow!
There is about an inch, but thats enough to completely ruin everything, I hope the gritters have been out. I cant tell because im not on a main road, but if they havent all hell will break loose. Last time there was no gritters it took me 3 hours to get to college.

*mazedsalv** 02-02-2009 07:06 AM

Reported to be 6.5 inches where i am... and just found out MY schools CLOSED!!!! That NEVER happens!!!!!!!!!!!:banana:

arista 02-02-2009 07:16 AM

yes UK Shut Down
they knew the Snow was going to hit us
but Councils have no big funding to clear many roads.

No London Buses
that is sad.

Christina 02-02-2009 07:17 AM
