Ha ha to those of you that were too young to celebrate Millenium!!
 

And when I say celebrate I mean properly. Generally anybody younger than 23 will not have celebrated properly, (so ha ha, you missed out on the biggest party in the world for a long long time)

and if you are younger than about 16/17 now, you won't even remember that much about millenium or 1999. (Tough luck guys you missed out on a lot!)


Just had to say how glad I was to be alive and old enough to remember 2 different milleniums.

Haha i was 7 or 8?? at the time, all i remember is this amazing street party that my aunty held.... i feel so young!!!!

I So wish i could remember it. the closest thing i can remember ( well i was in scotland for it because we were visiting my family ) and i remember laying on the ground in a scooby doo sleeping bag i got. Just layhing there waiting for 12:00 but i fell asleep lol x

I was young but we celebrated it properly!

I was 9 i think, but yeh i celebrated it happily around my family.

i'm the same age as you ben i remember it we had a huge party round a neighbours house and cos we lived on a hill just after midnight we watched all the fireworks from our town and the surrounding villages at the end of the road (as well as winding each other up about the milliemum bug)

The millenium bug. Ha, what a crock that was, but I remember everyone panicking about it so much. Ha ha.

i was 4 almost 5 all i remember was neighbours coming round to my house and music being played.

I remember nothing!!!
Oh i do remember the pubs and clubs charging silly prices to get in, grrrrr!!! But most is just a haze..

Back then the now old skool tunes blared in my house andI loved it. I still remember that night. He He. I must've been five or six.

How are you old enough to remember two? I'm pretty sure a millenium is every hundred years.

I have lived through 2, most of us have. This one now, and the last one. :wink:

I remember walking down to British Aerospace with my dog, mum and dad.. was freezing! :)

I remember going to a party we got invited to in our street and all the kids did like partygames haha then I remember the fireworks. It was our first year on the street lool.

Everybody on here is old enough to live through two milleniums. They would have to be 11 not to?

I had my first girlfriend in 1999, so I think I properly lived it! LOL1:love:
I know some people my age use to vow to have a girlfriend or kiss a girl before the end of the millenium!

I remember it, I can even remember what I was wearing. I love feeling young. :)

I remember the party, its the one time my parents ever celebrated it. I remember the fireworks, but you are right I don't remember it that well. Do I care? No not really.

I was 9 at the time, I was at home with my family, watching the TV, wondering if technology would stop working. Yay for false alarms!

I was 13 and i remember it as clear as day. personally it was not that much of a big deal for me. just another year. even if i had been older it would have been very unlikely that i would have celebrated it differently to any other new years. just another day to me.

I actually remember the Millenium lottery draw, and it failed because of the bug! haha, anyone else remember that?

Oh Yeah. Life before Reality TV. And IPods, MP3 players and everyone having the internet.

Cassettes still existed as did videos, and they were still popular forms of entertainment, and not everyone had a mobile phone. God it seems so long ago.

I was 9, We had a joint Millenium and Birthday Party as my birthday's on New Year's day.

I was 9,wasn`t all that really but i do remember having this STOOOOOPID white cuddly toy man thing with a black top hat on and you pressed its hand and it went 10 9 8 7 6 5 ...etc and the went happy new millenium then started vibrating and having a **** fit.
Other than that I remember I had a blue jumper on lmao and remember my uncle filming me and my cousings on video camera,then going to this well naff party in the freezing cold that was being held in this massive car park in my town.

LOL yes!! And the millenum bug itself, everyone thought we'd be plunged into darkness and was counting down to a worse time, and some people braced themselves in the countdown :laugh3:

I was 15, and it was a rubbish new year. My nye are always crappy :cloud:

I was 9,I remember someone had a huge party and there was this really huge box which I liked. And someone said they didn't like David Beckham(like a 10 year old boy) and I hit them over the head with those clapper things. Oh and I remember loads of fireworks. That was about it!
