Should have worn a seatbelt really... but I hope she's alright.

All the time - they're there for my own safety, not to mention that law states that seat belts should be used.

Dont be too worried, she will recover as quickly as possible before bb10 starts, and you and i know that no one can take her place in BBLB and the greatest Hosemate ever tag.

True, nikki is even often blamed for most stupidest things, I'm also one of them who doesn't wear my seatbelts in a 4 seater car when i'm sat at the back, I hardly seen anyone wearing seatbelts when they are sat at the back of a small car. I only wear seatbelts usually when sat at the front.

She has every right to be blamed in this instance. It's common sense to use seat belts (and, as I've mentioned, it's the law to use seat belts). Whether you are in the front or back of a car is immaterial.

She didn't use hers, she had an accident.

I wouldn't want such an accident to happen to anyone and I hope she gets well soon, but it serves her right.

A girl has had a severe accident and has hurt herself badly and you are making a joke out of it and then laughing at it. Would you laugh if it had it been you.

Why only in the front? You do realise the high impact of a car crash will be felt in the back just the same as in the front? Maybe more so, because you have the further distance to travel, and the velocity of flying forward will be the same.

There is a reason seatbelts are fitted in the BACK of cars too.

Also, why does the fact it's a small car/4 seater matter? That just means that any impact will be more dangerous, thus heightening the danger and the repercussions of not wearing a seatbelt.

aww poor nikkie. perhapes she will buckle up in the future. i allways put my seatbelt on when i get in the car. its the first thing i do, i dont even think about it know i just do it automatically.

You cant blame her though, its the cab drivers responsibility, so he should be fined or sacked for endangering a passenger, Nikki is just an innocent little soul.

Taxi's have a notice up reminding people to put seatbelts on.

Its his duty and responsibility to make sure that the passenger is belted, so its the driver who broke the law, why are people hell bent on shoving the whole blame on her (although she also was stupid not to wear it), why not the driver?

The driver didn't break the law. It's not his legal duty to ensure she's belted.

She's more than capable of making her own decision whether to wear her seatbelt or not. The driver shouldn't have to take responsibility for that.

If you read the law on seatbelts, it is stated that the driver is responsible to ensure that all their passengers are seatbelted, if they dont they the driver incurs heavier penalty.

And taxi drivers fulfil that law with the signs reminding passengers.

Legally, they're not ALLOWED to do anymore (which would be nothing short of forcing it on them).

It was a mini cab not the black cab, and they dont have signs.

If she wasnt wearing a seatbelt she cant blame anyone but herself. That will teach her to wear one when getting into the car.

If you are over the age of 14 then its your own responsibility

Now i think She must of have been wearing her seatbelt. It's not that far to hit your head of the head rest... and she cracked her ribs, which as far as i can see could only happen on the seatbelt. But that's only a theory! What do i know!? Lol
