Just got my audition date
 

I have an x factor audition on the 21st April, they start at 8am.
Never been to an x factor audition, I have heard bad things but I am gonna go anyway :P

Anyone else got one?

Assuming so because I thought the actual auditions were a bit later, but they said they will be filming, so I am assuming the big crowds are for the producers.

I couldn't give 2 ***** about the judges haha, I just wanna see how far I can get in it. If I don't get past the producers I'm not too fussed...

I think there is a 1 in 4 chance you will go to the judges, but if you go to the producers and not the judges, and you are pretty good, you go the judges :)

good luck fom from what i have heard of your voice you should do well
whatever song you choose make it one that is known but not so known that your up against a loosing battle before you start singing cos there will be only so many times they can tolerate the same songs over then people just blur into one unless you really do stand out

I went last year and it was dreadful. Queued outside in the rain for like, 7 hours, then had to wait to go in and didn't get seen until 8 o clock at night, considering I'd been there since 7 in the morning.
I reapplied for this year but idk if I'll bother or not.

Hey, where is your audition ? I've applied but haven't recieved my letter yet and I'm in Scotland. I got through last year, had to face producers twice then go through a screen test before I got to the judges and they couldn't come to a decision so they said they would send me back for a year to practice and if I had improved then I'd be through. I'm part of a duo named R and B, we sung Tears for Fears - Head Over Heels. This year we're doing Maroon 5 - This Love or Take That - Patience. P.S. Once you face the Screen Test part, they will ask you to provide a second song, my advice is to pick a nice upbeat song and a ballad just to keep things even.

Has anyone from Scotland recieved a letter yet confirming the date for Hampden Park ?

Fom, I dunno what you think about the song but It's All Coming Back To Me Now could be really good for your voice, or something jazzy.

Hey, I live in scotland and my friend said he hasnt hasd an audition date sent out yet. :)

I am having mega trouble deciding. I just listened to that song, it is worth a shot, but I don't think its THE song.

ooh good luckk guys.
Mine's May 6th but idk if I'll go [due to it clashing with college]

I can't go now because it clashes with my french exchange . faill.

Luckily mine is on a saturday during the holidays so its perfect. Me and my sister are putting together a picnic and are gonna make a day of it, we are turning up at 5am... fully prepared.

Currently my audition song is 'Chasing Pavements' having doubts though and thinking of changing it last min!

Gotta get through the producers first, thats the hardest bit I reckon... I don't think I will but hell I am gonna give it a damn good shot!

What do you guys think about me doing a not so popular song? Up to the mountain suits my voice fantastically and really showcases it so I am thinking of doing it, but its by Patti Grffin... a not so popular song writer.

I dunnooo... loads of people have got through with not so popular songs, Laura White for example.
