Right nicks instead of U2Uign lets do it here :P
Right well we don't need anyone elses help when it comes to graphics: you're better at banners though so maybe you want to do that? I'll write the 1,000 word speech but we have to discuss what policies we want in it now :D right, up to 5 hmmm well if we were moderators what WOULD we do? - More organisation - No silly rules like not being allowed to post in capitals - A different system rather than the rep (though i spose that's admin?) - Automatic grammar/speller checker erm they're a few random suggestions XD |
Ignore my other post - I saw the other one the home page and started typing in it!
Sorry! Right, yup - I will do graphics! That's fine! Are you sure you're ok with the speech? I've heard you were great at writing the story, so I'm happy with that! Ok - definitely - Automatic grammar/speller checker More organisation No silly rules like not being allowed to post in capitals thenn - Websites update (yanno like Magic posted before, I dunno if we can use that though.. might be admin) Lemme think :3 |
A chav filter :)
No more, 'OmGGGGG Bb iz cumming' |
hahahah good idea!
and aw thanks i'll write it when i'm back from my cookin' coursee tommoza :) |
Okk! :spin:
What shall we have our logo likee? :) |
I'm just on dafont.com trying to get the font right for the logo!
|
|
|
|
Just a reminder that the idea behind the task is to come up with the rules and ideas that you'd enforce or implement if you were in power and not about what features you'd add to TiBB.
|
Ok Matt!
- More organization in general - Stop the chavs! - Stop a problem, before it becomes a problem (that makes sense, right?) - Have quite a number of regularly active moderators, and they all have their own specific sections Just thinking of ideas.. |

and sorry i've been AWOL all evenin' i got back, felt sick... and then was like all lazy and trying to recover, then it was the apprentice and now i feel vaguley better :D |
Quote:
D'you reckon we could do better moderation on chat and games and general chat? because no one knows where to post what.... |
Quote:
and it's ok, I've had a headache all day  Better moderation between C+G and general would be good yea! By 3, I meant they could be around a bit more, so when an argument starts, they're their to stop it, not like lock the thread the next day :) |
Quote:
and awww i like the texture but i like the possitioning of "the" and "party" on the former one? |
I wasn't sure you would like the positioning of party, so that's why I made the textured one :3
So how about the texture on the original? : |
hmmm well the first one is a bit too straight
i like the textures on all of them tbh, i ust was wondering about the POSITION! also my mum is making me go to bed. at 11pm. :( i am exhausted |

ahahahaha i'm so picky just to clarify our 5 points are: - Have a number of active moderators in specific sections - Better moderation and distinction of Chat and Games and General Chat - Stop problems before they occur - Stop deleting messages if they are posted in capitals - Better checking of spelling and grammar shall we change/edit? we can't have a chav one off though as that's a bit.. mean? i'll write the speech once you've seen it and stuff |
Ok xD Matt thought it was a fab idea (considering I kinda nicked it from him ) Those sounds good to me anyway  What shall I do with party then? :\ I think it looks good like that :3 |
I'll have to start making the other graphics now.. we only have like just over 4 hours and I'm going out after
|

and online on myspace?!
i haven't been on myspace for about 5 months! |
I meant facebook :blush2:
Edited xD and thankoo! I'd just started, written 95 words.. The Fetch Party ‘The Fetch Party’ has plenty to offer. We have loads of ways to make TiBB a better place, with the help of the new moderator. The first new rule we would like to enforce, is getting rid of any silly, petty rules, like no posting in capital letters. We understand that it can be annoying, when somebody posts a post in block capitals for no reason, but when a well trusted member posts a small post in capital letters, and gets the post removed, we all know how annoying it is! If you want them :) |

http://i44.tinypic.com/309rlv7.png Banner - http://i44.tinypic.com/wu2ro4.png or http://i44.tinypic.com/2ln7mmt.png ^ I prefer the 2nd, the 2nd one was supposed to be a flag, but it failed :3 Av - http://i42.tinypic.com/2s96qgp.png or http://i40.tinypic.com/s153jo.png also, prefer 2nd ^.^ |
This is Big Brother… it’s pretty FETCH isn’t it? It’s a wonderful haven for us all to talk about certain things which may not even be related to Big Brother, but it does lackin certain areas – areas which could easily be improved. Team Fetch’s policies would not only help the TiBB community, in the event that we become moderators, but enable outsiders to join, as well.
Moderation a bit slack on TiBB? We thought so. Team Fetch’s first policy is to rearrange the number of active moderators and assign them to specific sections. For example, a busy section with high traffic such as Chat and Games would need one or two assigned moderators, rather than a section such as creative writing which provides less traffic for the site. At the moment a moderator must moniter each thread which is not only a complicated task, but could easily be improved. How… fetch! The next aspect we would improve, in the event that we were moderators, would be to stop problems prior to their occurrence. At the moment it seems that arguments take a while to be stopped, with threads being closed possibly days after the initial argument. If you were to vote for Team Fetch this would not only improve, but make TiBB a pleasant society to be in. As you can already see, these two policies would help TiBB to be a better moderated and friendlier place than it already is – and we all know TiBB is a nice place to be around. Another policy by our rather FETCH team, would enforce is the removal of immature bans, namely the deletion of a post purely as it is in capital letters. If a post was in full capital letters that does not mean it should be deleted – capital letters may be necessary for the tone of the post. Therefore we would remove that ban: and if the capital letters were not overly necessary to a post, it would be then a U2U or a comment would be sent to that person to remind them of the rules, and not delete their posts. Pretty Fetch, isn’t it? The penultimate policy is the simple but very effective ways of tackling spelling and grammar, which has become a problem on the site. Obviously it is vital to understand what a person is saying, so if moderators – such as us – would aid in this respect it would not only be beneficial for TiBB but enable everybody to understand what people are saying. This would tie in with our initial policy of assigned moderation – a moderator could use this within their task and it would not seem as daunting, as if they had every single thread moderated. The last, and most important policy is the differences between Chat and Games, and General Chat. If we were moderators, we would move each post into their properly assigned positions, as at the moment it is very hard to differentiate, and many people are posting threads in one, which suit the other far more. This would enable better organisation and a better TiBB. Overall, our policies would help YOU! We know you need the best, and with Team Fetch that is what you will be getting. what'dyou think? WOOPS posted in the wrong place |

right i'm going to quickly add some more words back in a sec |
Remember your speech will be posted anonymously, so please remove any refrences to your party or team - your speech can't state that it's from the Fetch party.
The deadline has been extended again to 8pm as neither team is reaching completion of its' work. |
Argh! lol xD
Okey Matt! |
I will take out the fetch references :3
