Infact from Ch4 News

Tom 14-06-2009 11:28 AM

Where are the places that voted for the BNP? I know Manchester was one (:nono:) but dunno if it was Manchester or Greater Manchester ...

Where was the other?

Tom4784 14-06-2009 11:30 AM

It's a disgusting state of affairs when the BNP start to gain power. I hate them more then the god awful Tories.

Brittish politics is in a sorry state.

arista 14-06-2009 12:04 PM

Yes Brown has made us into a Sorry state.
Scotland Kicked him out.

Spike 14-06-2009 12:07 PM

People with no intelligence who are easily swayed when things aren't going brilliantly

Z 14-06-2009 01:17 PM

People who are disillusioned with Labour (in particular) and Conservative.

Oh great, both from the North West. Makes you really proud to come from there doesn't it

Shaun 14-06-2009 04:10 PM

Tom - the other place was in Yorkshire, think it might have been Leeds actually... I'll have a look.

Tom 14-06-2009 04:14 PM

Shaun you're right ... though on the Manchester fan page they were saying how shocked they were Manchester voted BNP ... there was a huge argument ...how racist some are v its acceptable to be racist ...:puzzled:

Nurse57 14-06-2009 04:29 PM

Whilst some who voted for them are unboubtedly racist. There will be a large number who are not but are ignorant of what the BNP really stand for, as they have done a very good job covering that up with eye catching policys that they could never keep too, but that pull all the right strings with a section of the population.

The people who stand and campain for them are the racists.

But people know the negative connotations associated with the BNP ... Sky News did a recent survey by telling people BNP policies without saying they were BNP policies. A lot of people agreed with them but when they found out it was the BNP the agreement level dropped. So purely because of who they are has an effect on who will vote for them regardless of policies ........

Can't really compare the two parties though .... Conservatives don't want rid of non-British people

No I don't. You seem to think voting new labour is automatically a good thing - it isn't. That particular voter is even worse than the others.

Nah I misunderstood, they don't have the Manchester seat but I think they did well in the Manchester polls :bored:

Fom 14-06-2009 05:55 PM

I can understand the sudden rise in votes for the BNP, with the increase in news in the media about foreign people taking jobs. I understand if people don't like the polish or whatever but I don't quite think most people understand what the BNP stands for.

Pretty much most of our rights would be gone and all Blacks and Gays would be long gone. I think they got in due to naivety and stupidness!

Another reason to hate living Manchester.
They got one somewhere around here though didn't they.

Sod_James 14-06-2009 06:00 PM

i dont agree with their policies and i did not vote for them.

I took my right not to vote.

I kind of agree, at the end of the day we live in a democracy, and EVERYONE is entitled to an opinion and therefore any government can get in power if they have enough followers.

Lets just put it this way... it could be worse. It is everyone else's fault that did not vote, they let it happen.

i didnt vote for bnp,but i do agree with them on some things.
this country needs a turn around, but bnp is definitely not the way to go.

FrenchAffair2 21-06-2009 06:41 AM

England has a long history of racism, we can't be surprised.

TheMac 21-06-2009 07:40 AM

The racism and homophobia is enough, but the fact they want to LEGALISE rape, it's just disgusting really. So while I do think everyone has a fair right to vote, IF the BNP ever come into serious power, this country will be in a FAR worse state than it is now.
