Looks like a very touching, gentle, and moving film.
Exactly why I wont be watching it.
I hate feel bad movies.

andyman 17-06-2009 12:03 AM

Some women might like it.. They love The Notebook.

And when they feel sad after watching, you can be the man and make them feel good..

MrGaryy 17-06-2009 12:34 AM

I saw an ad for this earlier. It looks amazing, I can't wait to see it.

It looks good but too sad for me:sad:

M X 17-06-2009 10:28 AM

Dakota Fanning was originally meant to be playing the little girl but pulled out 8 days before filming began because she didn't want to shave her hair off and filming was delayed for another 4 months.

M X 17-06-2009 10:28 AM

Looks like a great film!!

Marc 17-06-2009 10:29 AM

This film looks ****ing sad LOL I don't know if I want to watch it

Simone. 17-06-2009 10:44 AM

I will be watching it, I love sad films & the notebook.

But I'm not big fan of watching sad films in the cinema.
I was fighting back tears when I watched seven pounds in the cinema.

Annie 17-06-2009 12:07 PM

I think it looks amazing, i love films that make me cry cos then i just feel better.

Arneldo 17-06-2009 12:27 PM

The trailer actually made me well up a little bit the first time I saw it.

but by the second time I realised the little girl in it is the one from 'Little Miss sunshine', which brought back memories of the dancing at then end. so now every time I see the trailer I see her dancing and it makes me laugh.

Princess 17-06-2009 03:17 PM

It looks amazing. I've heard that song at the end before-I think in Grey's Anatomy but not sure. Anyone know what it is.

I cry at EVERYTHING so must make sure to bring lots of tissues when watching this.

Princess 17-06-2009 03:25 PM

Found the song! Life is Beautiful by Vega 4.

Christina 27-06-2009 10:24 PM

This looks so sad!

Simone. 27-06-2009 10:43 PM

Just started reading the book yesterday & so far I love it. I can't wait to watch the movie even though I'll cry.

Rory 02-07-2009 02:16 AM

I saw it. It was like a bad Lifetime movie. Apparently, it's a LOT different from the book so if you're reading the book and see the film don't expect the same things to happen. My friend was complaining about that after the movie (she had read the book  )

KillER 02-07-2009 02:18 AM

looks like a big fat weeper... doubt ill watch it.

Simone. 02-07-2009 10:18 PM

I just finished the book & it really made me cry.
Really sad, I was so shocked at the end, I literally gasped and started crying! lol.

Fom 07-07-2009 11:47 PM

I liked the film, at moments it was really really sad. Like so sad it feels your heart stops for a bit... the end was a bit rubbish as it just trailed off. There was a moment I had tears in my eyes, when all 3 siblings were hugging in the hospital, I just imagined my sister in her position, got to me a bit.

Amazing film, fantastic acting... I can understand how you might not want to watch it if you have read the book, but as a film on its own it is good! I think the acting stands out the best in the film, they actors tell the story very very well. Nice to see some great acting in the cinema for once. Cameron did an amazing performance, very shocking as she is usually a very loveable young character, this is her breakthrough performance for me!

MrGaryy 08-07-2009 12:37 AM

Saw it today I have to say I was expecting to be crying and I just ...wasn't. Well not very much It was very sad obv but not as gut wrenching as I had anticipated. Cameron Diaz and Alec Baldwin were both fantastic though. And I liked how the story was told through each of the characters.

I did burst into tears when Kate gave Sara the book she made.

andyman 08-07-2009 01:07 AM

Much better to have a dog die, a much loved pet trying to get home to his family that love him much..

SiaSiaSia 13-07-2009 06:12 PM

saw this yesterday, really sad

Marc 13-07-2009 06:13 PM

I'm going to avoid this film like the plague.. I don't want to be upset like that LOL

SiaSiaSia 13-07-2009 06:14 PM

the book ending seems really different from the film ending though...

BigSister 13-07-2009 06:56 PM

The films ending is still sad though
But yeah that threw me a lot

Mikel 14-07-2009 09:05 AM
