Anyone ever had their drinks spiked?
 

I REALLY need to be more careful, it's happened to me twice and it's just awful. First time was two years ago, by my ex boyfriend and then recently on Saturday night. On Saturday night I collapsed and ended up being taken by ambulance to hospital, felt terrible all day yesterday and was sick all over the doctor :/ It's gonna be a long time until I go out to town again!

Anyone had any similar experiences?

Nope I've never had my drink spiked.

Never happened to me but my boyfriend's always warning me about it for when I turn 18 in October :\

when i used to go out clubbing i would either keep my drink with me at all times including to the toilet and dancing with hand over the top or if i had to leave it then i would just buy a new one not worth the risk i've never been spiked personally but my cousin was and he was then beaten up so its not just women who get spiked

Thankfully, I haven't..but when we go out people drink befoe they go in, and I never buy anything anyway when I'm out.

Yep, I collapsed, wouldn't stop throwing up and was really dizzy. My heart kept on slowing down as well. Most people are lucky in the way that they can't remember it, I remember every second and because I was drunk anyway it was all amplified

Another time I just suddenly took a really funny turn so went home and just slept it off. Wasn't so bad that time

Tom, I'm sorry that happened to you.. sounds exactly like what happened to me (dizziness, sickness, heartbeat going wierd etc.) it's just unlucky that you renember it. All I've heared is that I was acting all strange for a while, threw a drink all over my boyfriend thinking that he put vodka in my drink (I was drinking orange juice) and then went breathless and collapsed.. it was wierd just waking up in hopital.

I did years ago I was probably 14-15 someone put E in it, really bad!!!

Never been so lucky! :-(

I'm only joking, nah I haven't but a mate has and it was horrible seeing him the way he was.

I barely ever go out and when I do we usually get a table and make sure one person is at it all the time.

My ex was spiked by someone in a club once. She had to be taken to hospital, but got okay a few days later.

It put her off clubbing for a while.

i seen some girl last night arguing with some lad because her mate saw him put something in her drink. it was like something out of jeremy kyle, pretty funny tbh :joker: but i don't get what thrill people get out of doing it?

No. My drink is never around long enough for it to be spiked :hugesmile:

Nah. I once got so drunk I told my dad I was spiked.

Then he threatened to ring the bar and have an investigation into it and I was like "shoite calm down im just pissed"

Never had it spiked, I only drink Vodka/Redbull and Snakebites, and after 2 years of them I can taste if there's anything new about them.

I was at a gay bar, and one of my mate's friends spiked it with I dunno. Next thing I knew he was trying it on with me in the toilet, and I didn't wanna..but you know with the spiking and all..In the end I got out with a busted lip but I'm just glad I got out without any more damage. I don't go to clubs now, I'm too young anyways.

Yeah. I was at a party and someone spiked it, I fainted and was taken to hostpital and was vomiting for two days. That was about four months ago.

I did one time years ago, I was at my partner's works' do and someone had put a shot of Sidekick in my pint of lager. I can remember being in a state and throwing up all over the place before passing out when I came off the bus home so my partner had to carry me home and I woke up on the living room floor covered in sick and not having a clue where I was!

I'm pretty sure I have once. I was at a club and out of nowhere I threw up on the dancefloor and had to be taken outside where I was just kinda lyeing on the ground lol. Still don't know if I was actually spiked but I'm pretty sure I was.

No, but I've seen people mixing drinks (essentially the same thing, but with permission :P) and it's ended in vomiting for hours and the like - not nice to deal with, so I can only try to imagine what it would be like to be in that situation myself.

I have, I left my drink on the side of a dancefloor while I had a dance, I think someone mistook my drink for my mates (a girls) drink, I drank it and somehow lost my mates and everything went dizzy, so I went outside to the smokers area. As soon as the air hit my lungs I collapsed, I remember foaming at the mouth and being sick and I passed out for a good half our and woke up in an ambulance. They thought I had took drugs but I hadn't and they were quite horrible to me as they didn't believe me. It was the worst pain I have ever been in, ended up leaving hospital at 6am, discharged myself... never found out what it was.

I had a wedding the day after, I was in tears all day, I couldnt move without being sick and I spent the whole wedding sat in the corner curled into a ball, thats the reason I discharged myself... It was important I was there. Always keep your drink close by and cover it... it is not worth the pain.
