So they are draughting in six year olds???

How was this six year old selected?

How was her welfare ensured, since she was on her own in the task room.

I understand there are rules on use of children in filming, so it would be interesting to know what they are and how they were complied with.

Plus what about the press who will now hunt her down. Did they really have to show her face so she could be identified?

Daffodil 02-07-2009 10:29 PM

Do you really think the press will hunt her down ... why????

Because that is what the press is like

To call the press a bunch of ravenous wolves would be an insult to ravenous wolves

Lauren 02-07-2009 10:31 PM

Oh Sticks, seriously - you're getting worse.

Locke. 02-07-2009 10:31 PM

The press won't hunt her down. Beinazir wasn't hunted down and she was in there for a whole 5 minutes. (Though to be fair, the 6 year old had more screen time).

MrGaryy 02-07-2009 10:32 PM

god yeah, like omfg she coulda sniffed the paint or something?!?!?!
heaven's to betsy!

Jack_ 02-07-2009 10:32 PM

I'm sorry, but of course her welfare was ensured, there are camera men just behind the mirrors and if anything had happened the door to the task room would have opened straight away.

Why on earth would the press hunt a 6 year old girl down who was shown on Big Brother for about 20 seconds? I think they have more important things to be reporting.

This is just ridiculous now.

MargeryFan 02-07-2009 10:34 PM

LOL someone is having a right laugh.

andyman 02-07-2009 10:34 PM

Email Channel 4 and ask them.

Tonight on the painting task the housemates paintings were compared to that of a six year old, which is fair enough. My concern is that you showed the six year old. Given the veracious nature of the gutter press, was that really in the child's best interests as the press could hunt her down. Did you need to identify her at all. - A side point from the complaint what are the rules on using young children like this and how did the production team ensure they were complied with.

Because I care about people's welfare instead of being sadistic when people gloated over the HM's getting stung on stinging nettles? :conf:

Saph 02-07-2009 10:44 PM

No, I'm in reference to you saying the media will hunt her down, and that she was endangered by being in a room by "herself" for about 10 minutes. Honestly, what could have happened?

It's fair enough being caring, but sometimes you take it too far. Though, I'd rather you were over-caring than not caring at all, but sometimes it disappears from the realms of reality.

Jack_ 02-07-2009 10:46 PM

Oh for God sake, if the parents didn't want her to be on the show then they wouldn't have let her be on in the first place, and obviously they must have been happy with the information they were giving about her.

I'd forgotten about her by the end of the show, as will have most people.

30stone 02-07-2009 10:47 PM

Well i agree with you sticks, id like to see what measures they went through to make sure she was completely safe in that room and will be on the outside.

lightyears 02-07-2009 10:48 PM

get a life u sad case. the press arent interested in bb so they wont be giving a 6yr old a second thought

Deirdre 02-07-2009 10:48 PM

She's most likely one of the producer's daughters so I'm sure she was fine.

ok mum
No supper for you tonight :nono:

lol

lightyears 02-07-2009 10:54 PM

lol im on a diet anyway

andyman 02-07-2009 10:56 PM

Many other tv shows have children on, no press intrest there.
Ok given that BB is in the media eye at times and history shows us that the media can be merciless at times, but the 6 year old is a non-story, what would be the intrest given that only 1.7m watch anyway?

Miss-red 02-07-2009 10:57 PM

why would the press want her? what can she tell them? is this for real? i sometimes have to wonder

uvhater 02-07-2009 11:03 PM

The press may want to really upset her and tell her that her painting was rubbish.

eviled2 02-07-2009 11:05 PM

Just don't let that little girl into the house or she will get bullied by Lisa, Karly and Kris!

Oh Sticks, is this the only way you can get people to take notice of your posts, by being as mardy and objectionable as possible?

Marsh. 03-07-2009 12:40 AM

Do you watch BB with your clipboard and law manuals using every little thing to try and sound clever and intelligent. God, talk about over the top. I thought you were joking. ::rolleyes:

You and your caring ways

Listen though, that girl was probley the daughter of one of the Production team, maybe it was her Birthday..
That would be the best Present ever!

Just be happy for the girl, your just jealous you didnt get to Paint a Picture in the BB House which was seen by the Housemates

Alf 03-07-2009 12:46 AM

tonight was gary glitters favourite episode of all time

Sticks 03-07-2009 05:23 AM

Even if the normal press may not pursue her there are still the paparazzi some of whom think ethics is a place in the south east of Ing-er-Land

Sticks 14-07-2009 12:49 PM

As promised the reply

Thank you for contacting us regarding BIG BROTHER, and I apologise for the

We appreciate your concerns regarding the child featuring during the task on
the 2nd July show. The parents had given consent for the child to appear
during the episode, and it did comply with broadcasting regulations
regarding what can be shown.

Please be assured that your complaint has been logged and distributed
throughout Channel 4 for the attention of those who commission, produce and
schedule the programme.

Thank you again for taking the time to contact us.
