They've lived with each permanently for 5 weeks. She's sat on his knee, so they're very touchy-feely. She also did not say anything when it happened, so this was not a case of assault.

I imagine if you randomly run up to, and hug a stranger in the street, they'll claim some sort of assault. But do you ask your friends permission before hugging them? No.
